Yamaha TT description

Up for sale is a very nice 2014 Yamaha PW 50E1 motorcycle. Bike is in very nice condition besides 1 scuff on front fender (can be replaced for $20 but not worth it for a new rider). For a used bike, its as close to new as you can get. Bike has very low hours as my son only rode for 1 year and recently upgraded to a larger bike. It has been garage kept and very well maintained with a full service just completed. This is the perfect bike for a new rider to learn on without the big sticker price of buying new. Don't miss out on this great bike!!!

Price is Buy it Now for $1250 or Best Offer.

Bike is located in Randolph, NJ 07869. Buyer is responsible for picking up.

Yamaha Recalls R1 and Super Tenere for Overheating Headlights

Mon, 24 Feb 2014

Yamaha has started a recall campaign on 2009-2013 YZF-R1 sportbikes and 2012-2013 Super Ténéré models because of a risk of headlight failure due to overheating. The recall campaign affects 19,045 units of the R1 and 4,683 units of the Super Ténéré in the U.S. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, heat generated by the headlight bulb socket may cause the terminal ends to expand, resulting in arcing between the terminal connector and bulb contact.

Spotted the link to this short film on a Dutch blog. It's beautifully shot/directed and captures GP rider Mike Duff's recovery from a horrific hip and pelvis injury suffered at the Japanese GP which cost him a six month stay in hospital. Watching him push-start makes you wince just imagining the pain he must have been in.

NZ Superbike Series Points Leader Is A Grandfather Of Three!

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

Dennis Charlett is stamping his authority on the New Zealand Superbike championship. The 45 year-old father of five and grandfather of three (no, those aren’t typos) won the first three races of the season during the series opener in Christchurch, placing him firmly at the top of the points standings heading into round two at Levels Raceway, near Timaru. The championship favorite certainly got the wake-up call as Taupo’s Suzuki rider Scott Moir raced to a convincing win in Saturday’s Superbike race, while Charlett was forced to settle for fourth place.
