Yamaha Road Star description

2012 Yamaha Road Star S, "S" is for Striking!102-cubic-inch V-twin in a classic hardtail-looking steel frame with ample chrome accents

The 2012 Yamaha Road Star S features a fuel injected V-twin engine with muscle to burn and plenty of chrome. It's as easy on the eyes as it is easy to ride. Another winner in the legendary Star series.

Though it's available in a metallic black lacquer - this Star is sure to light up the road with its radiant good looks and brilliant chrome.

Gleaming chrome, a retro seat and loads of torquey muscle will have you itching to ride. Swing a leg over, fire up the massive fuel injected V-twin engine, and then settle in for a nice long ride.

Built to preform and customize like nothing else.

The 2012 Yamaha Road Star S is one of the most customized air-cooled V-twins in the business... and with good reason too. It simply looks good, due mostly to the classic appeal of that hardtail looking steel frame and all the classic looking hardware that goes with it.

Yamaha will give a third wheel to its scooter

Sun, 05 May 2019

The Japanese did not have enough unusual Niken bikes so they patented the design of a new 3-wheeler scooter. The device will probably be called the Tricity 300 and will presumably be powered by a 292cc engine from the 28hp XMax 300 maxi-scooter. We're looking forward to the debut of the production version at the end of the year at EICMA.

Yamaha Sketches out the Features on the New 2010 YZ450F [Video]

Thu, 10 Sep 2009

You’ll realize how cheesy that headline is after watching the pretty rad video that Yamaha has released. Yamaha’s new motocross bike has taken a radical new approach.  The engine is backwards. Yamaha’s reason for doing this is to shift the heavy end of the motor more to the center of the motorcycle to make it more agile and responsive.  Slanting the cylinder also made for a straighter pathway for the air intake at the front of the bike.

Think You’re a Smooth Rider? Yamaha’s SmartRiding App Will Prove It

Fri, 04 Oct 2013

Yamaha has released a new app that records and evaluates riding habits. The free Yamaha SmartRiding app (available now in the App store) uses the Apple devices sensors to measure basic telemetry to evaluate how smoothly you handle curves. The app requires the device to be firmly fixed to the motorcycle in either a vertical or horizontal arrangement (the app is compatible with iPhones, iPods and iPads, though I’m not sure how many people will mount a tablet to their motorcycle).
