Think You’re a Smooth Rider? Yamaha’s SmartRiding App Will Prove It

Fri, 04 Oct 2013

Yamaha has released a new app that records and evaluates riding habits. The free Yamaha SmartRiding app (available now in the App store) uses the Apple devices sensors to measure basic telemetry to evaluate how smoothly you handle curves. The app requires the device to be firmly fixed to the motorcycle in either a vertical or horizontal arrangement (the app is compatible with iPhones, iPods and iPads, though I’m not sure how many people will mount a tablet to their motorcycle).

Bolt Headlines Returning 2015 Models From Star & Yamaha

Thu, 05 Jun 2014

With all the excitement focused on the FZ-07′s stateside introduction, let us not forget these equally important models returning to Star’s and Yamaha’s 2015 lineup: the Bolt and Bolt R-Spec, the street-legal WR250R, XT250 and TW200, and the Blu Cru MXers; the 2-stroke YZ85/125/250, and 4-stroke YZ250F/450F. Bolt Like the FZ-09′s success, the Bolt is a smash hit for Star Motorcycles. So good, in fact, Star says the Bolt and Bolt R-Spec have been the best selling metric cruisers in all displacement sizes for the last 12 months ending in April of this year.

Not the most sensible of commuters..

Wed, 04 Apr 2012

This is the white and gold 2012 Yamaha R1. It's also the bike I shall be commuting on for the next 8 months. The crouched riding position and murderous amounts of power may not be ideally suited for the London grind, but with plenty of track action planned I have to make some compromises. There are three fresh colours to choose from.
