Yamaha Raider description

2008 Yamaha Raider, 2008 Yamaha Star Raider with custom mods, always garaged, super clean bike. Color is a deep red with black tribal art on the tank and rear fender. Exterior mods include tucking the brake/turn signals and license plate under the rear fender, aftermarket Yamaha seat with removable back rest, foot pegs replaced with platforms for more comfortable riding, locking removable windshield, and of coarse the air box has been replaced by skulls with red light eyes. It has a lower profile thanks to short links lowering the bike. Both tires are in good shape with only 1000 miles on the rear. The engine has a custom built exhaust, twin K&N air filters, Power Commander chip and has been tuned on the dyno. This bike handles like a dream and its lower profile and the beefy 210/40 rear tire makes it stable enough for smaller riders. All that meat at the rear wheel comes in handy for putting the power of the 113ci engine to the pavement. If you are looking for a dependable custom cruiser, a head turner with gobs of power, look no further....the 2008 through 2014 models are unchanged so no need to pay twice the price for a stock bike *I will not take PAYPAL and I apologize but I will consider any request to use PAYPAL as a scam* I will not negotiate over text or email so I will not respond to questions about final price sorry...please call for questions and to set up a time to see the bike thank you $9,000.00 480-296-3979

BSB 2012; Mystic Mac investigates

Tue, 03 Jan 2012

In my opinion, the smartest move in the BSB off season has to be Michael Laverty moving from Swan Yamaha to HM Plant Honda. With a ban on electronics for 2012, and in particular traction control, WFR's Graham Gowland has already proved to Laverty how competitive an EVO spec Fireblade can be - so I’m tipping both these riders to be bang on the money at the Brands Hatch season opener in April. Unlike BMW, Kawasaki and Yamaha, Honda have deliberately developed their road-going Superbike without electronics to give a user friendly feel with good mechanical traction, so it’ll be interesting to see how the opposition copes with their high-tech trickery stripped off.

Rossi, Pedrosa Fastest In Second Sepang MotoGP Test

Fri, 28 Feb 2014

Valentino Rossi and Dani Pedrosa topped the time sheets at the conclusion of the second MotoGP test at the Sepang track in Malaysia. Both clocked identical times of 1:59.999 to become the only riders to dip under the two minute mark the entire test. The hot and humid conditions in Sepang meant times wouldn’t be faster than they were in the first test here only a few weeks prior, and indeed, Rossi and Pedrosa’s time is 0.466 second slower than the fastest lap Marc Marquez set at the last test.

2014 Yamaha Super Ténéré ES Announced

Fri, 10 Jan 2014

Yamaha has tweaked its adventure-touring entry to keep pace with new and improved entries from its competition. The 2014 Super Tens receive a modest boost in power, new LCD instrumentation, the latest D-MODE switchable mapping “for refined town and sport settings,” LED turnsignals, a tapered aluminum handlebar and standard cruise control. The Super Ténéré ES is a new range-topping version.
