1974 YAMAHA RD250 HAS ABOUT 4K MILES ON IT NOT CURRENTLY RUNNING HASN'T RUN IN YEARS- BEEN SITTING IN A GARAGE TOP END IS STUCK- NOT SURE IF ITS GUMMED UP FROM SITTING OR SEIZED. I SPARAYED SOME PENETRATING OIL INTO THE CYLINDERS BUT HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING ELSE TO IT. SO IT MIGHT NEED THE TOP END GONE THRU, FREED UP OR WHATEVER. CARBS NEED TO BE CLEANED AS THE THROTTLE FEELS STUCK. I USUALLY GO THROUGH ALL THIS STUFF BUT UNFORTUNATELY I DO NOT HAVE TIME THIS MONTH SO ITS GOING AS IS CHEAP. FIX IT UP AND RESELL IT AND MAKE SOME MONEY OR KEEP IT AS THESE THINGS ARE GOING UP IN VALUE MORE AND MORE. ONLY HAS LIKE 4400 mileS ON IT MISSING RIGHT SIDE COVER. ORIGINAL PAINT RIGHT SIDE OF TANK HAS A SMALL DENT- SEE PICS. BACK END OF THE SEAT IS SPLIT- SEE PICS. CLEAN TITLE SHIFTS THROUGH THE GEARS THIS IS A GREAT PROJECT FIXER UPPER FOR SOMEONE INTO THE OLD SCHOOL two STROKES. I DO NOT HAVE THE KEY. Yamaha Pro Am madness, the best one make championship ever?
Sat, 18 Dec 2010I’m biased of course, but the best one make road race championship has to be the Yamaha RD 350LC Pro Am series. Back in the days when manufacturers had spare cash (1980 to be precise), Mitsui Yamaha organised this televised championship at major British race meetings to promote the recently launched, and now iconic, Yamaha RD350LC. Twenty four riders (twelve established and twelve rookies) were chosen by a panel of experts then given a completely free season of racing with a very generous prize fund thrown in.
Colin Edwards’ Gear Being Auctioned For Feed The Children
Tue, 29 Jul 2014While Colin Edwards may no longer be a factory Yamaha racer these days, he still enjoys a close bond with the tuning fork brand. So much so that Yamaha has announced a unique opportunity to bid on a historic set of road racing leathers, boots, gloves, and helmet as worn by Edwards during this, his final season in MotoGP. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Feed the Children, which is Yamaha Motor Corporation’s official corporate charity.

With a plethora of new features and improvements, the highlight has to be the new bi-lateral aluminum chassis. The 2010 Yamaha YZ250F is much improved out of the corners and overall handling, Yamaha has also improved power over the entire powerband. MSRP to be announced Fall 2009.
