UP FOR BIDS IS A " NO RESERVE " 1972 YAMAHA JT2MX MINI ENDURO. THE BIKE IS ALL ORIGINAL AND COMPLETE. IT DOES HAVE SOME NEW ITEMS, NEW TIRES, LEVERS, CHAIN, SPROCKET AND NUMBER PLATE. THE BIKE IS NUMBERS MATCHING AND A VERY GOOD RESTORATION CANDITATE. IT WAS RUNNING LAST YEAR BUT IT STARTS AND DIES NOW. MAYBE A CARB ISSUE? IT HAS GREAT COMPRESSION AND SPARK. THE CLUTCH AND BRAKES WORK WELL AND IT SHIFTS PROPERLY. ALL THE CABLES ARE IN GOOD SHAPE. THE FORKS AND RIMS ARE DECENT. THE GRIPS AND PEGS ARE IN GOOD SHAPE. The video went viral and eventually led to the seizure of a Yamaha R1 and $1,449 (Canadian) in traffic tickets issued to its owner. In April, police in Saanich, British Columbia believed they had enough evidence to seize the R1 and issued tickets to the registered owner for speeding, operating without due care and attention, and operating without insurance.
