Bought this fun bike brand new in December 2015 from Eastbay Motorsports. Has under 100mi, actual miles are 64! Has a few upgrades. Lo Profile tail light and blinkers (original set included in sale) larger footpegs, Carbon fiber Yamaha decal kit (grey/black), ProTaper SE handlebars (grey) original bars are very short not really comfy to ride with but youre free to have them as well. Yamaha Recalls V Star 950, V Star 1300 and Super Tenere For Possible Fuel Leak
Thu, 10 Nov 2011On Oct. 28th, 2011 Yamaha filed a recall campaign with the NHTSA (campaign ID number: 11V533000) regarding possible fuel leaks on 2009 thru 2012 model-year V Star 950 and V Star 950 Tourer manufactured October 2008 through August 2011. The recall also includes the 2007 V Star 1300 model with manufacture dates August 2006 to March 2007.

Tue, 30 Dec 2008A new report says riders with ABS-equipped bikes can dramatically reduce the chance of a fatal accident. The study compared fatality rates among riders on bikes that have antilock brakes, and it found that death rates were 38% lower on motorcycles equipped with the optional ABS systems compared to non-ABS bikes. In 2005-2006, the fatal crashes per 10,000 registered motorcycles without antilock brakes was 6.6.
