The Yamaha FZ8 and FAZER8, also known as the FZ8N and FZ8S, are motorcycles produced since 2010 by Yamaha Motor Corporation. The FZ8 is a naked bike, while the virtually identical FAZER8 features a half fairing and ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM. Both motorcycles have a 779 cc inline-four engine, derived from the engine fitted to the 998 cc FZ1, but with a bore reduced to 68 mm (3.0 to 2.7 in), and the same stroke of 53.6 mm (2.11 in). Other differences from the FZ1 engine include a lighter crankshaft, smaller valves and revised camshaft profiles. Yamaha to Produce $500 Motorcycle for India

Recall for 2006-2009 Yamaha FJR1300
Mon, 04 Jul 2011Yamaha is recalling certain 2006-2009 FJR1300 sport-tourers due to a problem with the electrical system. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the ground joint connector of the wire harness on some Yamaha FJR1300 models may overheat and become deformed. If the electrical system is not properly grounded, the motorcycle’s electric components including the ignition system may malfunction, potentially causing the engine to stall.
