Selling my unique 2005 Yamaha TW200 that is in perfect riding condition. This is one of best looking color schemes they made over the years. It’s unique because it has both the front Disc brake and Kick starter (as well as electric start). Don’t let the miles mislead you, a past owner put 95% of them on from saving gas money by commuting back and forth to work. It has been used and is far from mint, but if you want a nice bike with a great accessory package to ride EVERYWHERE…This is for you! Gets over 70 miles to the gallon, and at the 11,768 mile mark it had the extensive 10,000 mile Yamaha Dealer full service performed by State 8 Motorcycles. 2013 Dakar Rally Results
Mon, 21 Jan 2013Cyril Despres won his fifth career Dakar Rally while helping KTM win for the 12th consecutive time, in taking the motorcycle class in the 2013 edition of the famed off-road race. KTM was again the dominant manufacturer with the top five finishers in the motorcycle class riding motorcycles from the Austrian manufacturer. Despres finished with an overall time of 43:24:22 for the win, including a 15-minute penalty for swapping an engine after the one he was using in his KTM 450 Rallye failed.
Yamaha Factory MotoGP Team Loses Another Sponsor
Fri, 30 Dec 2011Yamaha’s factory MotoGP team has lost a major sponsor for the second year in a row. Malaysian oil and gas company Petronas will not be extending its sponsorship agreement with the Yamaha team, ending a three-year relationship. Last year, the Yamaha team lost the title sponsorship of automobile manufacturer Fiat.
Provisional 2012 World Superbike Championship Entry List Released
Wed, 18 Jan 2012The International Motorcycling Federation has released a preliminary entry list for the 2012 World Superbike Championship. The preliminary list includes 24 entries representing six manufacturers: Aprilia, BMW, Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki. Noticeably absent is Yamaha which announced last summer it would pull out of WSBK racing.
