This is a mechanism under the right side cover "the cases do NOT need to be split" that ratches the shift drum clockwise for up shifting and counter clockwise for down shifting. As you read this ad the parts are for sale on ebay for twenty bucks (27087XXXXXX). You will get the whole drum, but all this bike needs is the shift lever (16), pawl pin (18), pawl (17) and segment (23). The machine is currently stuck in first gear. 2013 Yamaha XT250 Receives Fuel Injection
Thu, 07 Jun 2012The Yamaha XT250 dual sport is getting a fuel injection system for the 2013 model year, replacing the previous model’s 33mm Teikei carburetor. Apart from fuel injection and new graphics, the only other changes are a new TCI ignition system in place of the 2012 model’s CDI ignition, and a slightly larger gas tank (2.6 gallons versus 2.4 gallons on last year’s model). The 249cc air-cooled SOHC engine and five-speed transmission remains unchanged.

Heavy rains made the Ricky Carmichael-designed track in Daytona’s tri-oval section even more difficult than the GOAT conceived, with the terrain rough, choppy and rutted. Series point leader Ryan Villopoto became an early casualty of the track conditions, sliding outon the second corner.

Tue, 06 Nov 2012Yamaha‘s North American sales were up over the first nine months of 2012, representing the lone bright spot in the company’s third quarter report. North American consumers purchased 51,000 Yamaha motorcycles (including scooters and ATVs), for a 13.3% increase from the 45,000 units sold in the opening nine months of 2011. North American sales translated into 30.7 million yen (US$382 million) in revenue for Yamaha, a 15.0% increase from the first three quarters of 2011.
