2000 Yamaha r1. CHROME EVERYTHING, 100 dollar bills in stacks and rolls on the tank. Benjamin Franklin mean muggin on the windscreen. Money emblems in the gas cap. Oversized cam, headers into a voodoo pipe its loud but sounds amazing. Stretched 10 ins. Brand new Michelin tires just bought this season. Fresh oil change I only use amsoil. Racing plugs and wires. Jetted carbs. Bike has 21k on the build. I have the helmet to match the wind screenalso. I'm sure I'm forgetting something. Yamaha has initiated recalls on the 2010 R1 in several markets because of a problem with the wiring harness causing high idle speeds. As of this writing, recalls have been announce for Australia, Germany, and the United Kingdom. No recall has been announced for the U.S.

Michelin Unveils New Tire for Dual Sport Motorcycles

More than half of the new BMW R 1200 GSs that roll off the assembly line in 2013 will be fitted with Michelin’s new big trail tire, the Anakee III. BMW and Michelin worked together to co-develop the dual-sport tire, which is designed to deliver all the safety and off road capability big trail motorcycle users demand. The Anakee III will also be available as a replacement option for other leading dual sport bikes, like the Suzuki V-Strom, Kawasaki KLR, Triumph Tiger and Yamaha Super Tenere.

Ducati continues to develop its Desmosedici GP12 MotoGP race bike, setting modest goals while trying to establish a good setup. Already trailing the other factory teams in development time for its race prototypes, Ducati continued to try to find good base settings for the GP12. Valentino Rossi achieved the team’s goal of lapping under two minutes and two seconds with a time of 2:01.886 while completing 44 laps on the second day of testing at Malaysia’s Sepang circuit.
