Yamaha Other description

Great running, well-serviced classic sport bike.  New rear tire, heavy duty chain, battery, clutch cable, fresh oil, and clutch plates replaced this winter. There's a reason this bike has 34k miles - it's a blast. Decal set is from Yamaha 50th anniversary celebrating famed factory racer V. Rossi (#46)

Note:  the clear windscreen in photos was cracked while moving bike around for pics.  It will be replaced by a clear screen that is cleaner original style, not a double bubble) from Dennis Kirk (see photo).

The Japanese oddity to naming teams

Wed, 28 Jul 2010

Whenever the calendar shifts to a major Japanese race, such as the Suzuka 8hr, one of the more amusing things to do is glance down the team sheet This years highlight for me has to be team Moto Bum, with other stand outs including aprilia D.D.BOYS, Team Etching Factory Yamaha and MITO MOTO & e'freaks Honda. Looking back through the ages some of the great Japanese team names have been Burning Blood Racing Team, Dog Fight Racing and Team Moto Space amongst others. Yamaha R1 rider lowsides on left-hander

Tue, 23 Mar 2010

THIS GUY'S lucky he doesn't get flicked over the top, after losing the back end of his Yamaha YZF-R1 on a twisty section of mountain road. He looks pretty miffed at the result; we think he got away lightly. It could have been soooo much worse if the rear tyre had gripped and lobbed the rider over the top.

Batman’s Original Batcycle

Thu, 11 Dec 2008

Oh, that Batman and his toys, those marvelous toys. Millionaire Bruce Wayne’s alter ego has always had a penchant for accessories. While normally reserved for freeing him and boy wonder from intellectually challenged villains, he has also had his fair share of tricked-out transportation over the years.
