Up for auction is my 1991 FJ1200. It is in excellent condition, and has to be one of the lowest mileage examples of this vintage sport touring bike available today. If you are a collector or fan of this well regarded sport touring bike, here is your chance to add it to your stable. It is offered with a reasonable reserve considering its condition. I also have a stash of parts that while not included in the auction, will be offered first to the purchaser of the bike. Feel free to email me with questions about the bike. Yamaha Introduces 2012 V Star 950 and V Star Tourer
Wed, 08 Jun 2011Yamaha revealed the first 2012 models from its Star Motorcycles brand of cruisers, the V Star 950 and V Star 950 Tourer. The 2012 V Star 950 (and the more touring-oriented V Star 950 Tourer) is powered by a fuel-injected air-cooled 942cc 60 degree V-Twin engine with a five-speed transmission. Yamaha estimates fuel economy at 47 mpg from the 4.5 gallon tank.
2012 Yamaha XT250 and TW200 Dual Sports Announced
Wed, 08 Jun 2011Yamaha unveiled a pair of 2012 dual sport models, the Yamaha XT250 and the Yamaha TW200. Both the 2012 Yamaha XT250 and TW200 remain unchanged from the 2011 versions except for a new white and blue color scheme and white front fenders instead of last year’s black fenders. The XT250 is powered by an air-cooled 249cc four-stroke engine with a 33mm carburetor.
Maybe the Evo class is the future for WSB?
Thu, 05 May 2011Did we see the future of World Superbike racing last weekend at the BSB event? Possibly, but only if everyone is on Evo spec machines in 2012. By setting the 2nd fastest lap in race one and running second for a while in race two, the brilliant Alex Lowes proved that with a good grid position an Evo spec machine can be competitive for part race distance at least.
