Yamaha Other description

1989 Yamaha FZR 600

Low Mileage

NO RESERVE

You Bid - You Buy

Up for sale is my 1989 Yamaha FZR 600.  The bike is absolutely a beautiful example of an '89 FZR 600.  I had the same bike 27 years ago!  It runs great and has very few flaws.  There is a stress crack in the right lower fairing (see pic) and one broken tab on the very bottom. There are some very light scratches and imperfections on the bike.  It runs, shifts, and stops like it should.  Fresh oil, fresh battery, and new tires.  The Fox shock is the only thing that appears to not be stock.

The bike is 27 years old and not perfect, but it sure is a beauty!  In 2011, this bike was voted one of the top 50 best motorcycles of all time. (see link to article below).

The title is clear and in my name.

The bike is sold as-is and no warranty.

The bike is for sale locally and I have the right to end the auction at my discretion.

The perfect classified advert

Fri, 21 Jun 2013

Forget “One careful owner, low mileage, full service history” – when it comes to penning classifieds we can all learn from Kyle Miller and Joe Strachila who’ve plundered their marketing genius to come up with the best scooter advert we’ve ever seen. The pair, from Seattle, became an internet sensation last year when they created a hyperbole-packed ad for $700-worth of frankly rubbish 1995 Pontiac Grand-Am. Now they’ve pulled the same trick to get rid of a Y2K Yamaha SH50 (the comically-named ‘Razz’), advertising it on Cragslist as “the fulfilment of your wildest fantasies”.

So that's why he's called RANDY de Puniet

Tue, 20 Jul 2010

RANDY de Puniet may well have just been ejected from his LCR Honda RC212V MotoGP racer during qualifying for Sunday's Sachsenring GP but that ain't gonna stop him from bringing one of the company perks with him to Dr Costa's on-circuit surgery. The Frenchman crashed during qualifying after hitting oil and water spilled on track by Jorge Lorenzo's Fiat Yamaha, after it spewed its guts along almost the entire length of the start finished straight. Following the crash De Puniet was whisked away on a stretcher with a suspected broken foot.

David Stanton Charity Trackday Raises $75,000

Fri, 22 Nov 2013

The generosity of the motorcycling community shone brightly on Monday, as riders, fans, friends and enthusiasts took part in a charity track day at Sonoma Raceway hosted by 3J’s Motorcycle Track Days, raising $75,000. The charity track day was to benefit David Stanton, a Bay Area resident and long-time American Federation of Motorcyclists (AFM) competitor, who was paralyzed after a racing crash in June. In all, more than 400 people participated in the track day, attended the evening reception or stopped by to give Stanton their best wishes.
