Yamaha Other description

Had ad on earlier this year but medical issues got in the way and I failed getting to several people that called and were interested, issues now under control and even though winter has arrived I am reposting to give anyone that had interest before a 2nd chance and lowering the price in addition to apologizing. This is a single owner Yamaha Maxim XJ 1100 J with 17,656 mis, garaged year round in climate controlled twelve car shop. New $120 battery installed spark plugs at same time this summer.Has custom fit bike cover with a set of T-Pac bags going with it. Custom King/Queen seating very comfortable and re-upholstered 5yrs ago look like new. When I was living near Seattle my best friend had the tank painted by Tom Hines out of Woodland, WA. The year before he took "Best in Show" in Sturgis for his paint job on a 56' Harley. I always had it covered in winter so didn't notice tank was missing, wondered why they asked me what colors I'd want a Hines paint job, my reply was I'd tell him to do what he thought was right for the bike & me, that I would never assume to have the vision or skill of such an accomplished pro.The XJ's had a reputation for 1st gear going bad, mine did at 9k miles and when the mechanic had it torn down I had him replace 2nd gear as well, not the slightest hitch since. Down once in its entire life in a supermarket, very minor buffed right out. Both tires match for tread and changed 2yrs ago with less than 1,500k on them. This bike is very fast and solid as a rock weighing in at about 650 pounds. Carries 2 with fully loaded packs for extended riding. I have owned a few bikes and this scoot is the best balanced bike I have ever had. Gets 45 miles-per-gallon average. road and highway - 40 miles-per-gallon loaded down carrying two with bags and packs. Has a 5.6 gallon tank providing some decent range especially when you notice that summer squall line building and swinging your way. This bike was made 1yr only in 1982, it was a prototype to compete with the Honda Gold Wing, although they kept the Maxim model in other cc classes, the XJ 1100 J was replaced with the Yamaha Royale. There are internet clubs that plan get together's, bbq's, awesome rides, long and short. Really great fun bunch of people with helpful tips, spare parts and even listings for sale. The Blue Book prices are way off the actual value these bikes are worth as well as what they actually sell for. The only mark against is a light short scratch in the clear coat of the tank paint. I do projects in winter save them for then and if you bring it out for a couple of days will knock it out for you. I have a few clear coat scratches in cars and my pickup and was just going to knock them all out in a couple of days, saves on heat bill for my "paint booth".Has Corbin hand grips and hiway feet rests. In addition has LED rear turn signals (the original rear ones are complete and go with it.) Factory shop manual when I find it.Conflicted on price, knowing what they have been selling for this year, prices dropped a bit from last years. Last year would have asked $2,750 - this year $2,300 (reduced further to $2100) and will listen to credible offers. Next spring the price goes up to high value around $27-28 hundred.Call ONLY - my email hates me and locks up my computer. My Sausage fingers are way to huge for texting. Please call Jim @ 308-530-XXXX anytime from 7 am until 10 pm.Test drive allowed but MUST provide a no-refund deposit of $500.00 if anything but wheels touch the ground the slightest damage will be fixed out of the deposit. Provide your own helmet as mine are very large. If you do put the bike down on a test drive and $500.00 will not cover the damage the remainder of the sale price of $1,850.00 is due within seven days and the bike is yours. On a separate note I have a 4XL FieldShear Motorcycle jacket and/or coat with 2 removable liners 1 "spring light", the other "winter heavy". Price neogotiable, ridiculous low ballers please swallow your tounge. If you don't have room for inside storage thru winter we can cover it and stick in a corner out here, offer on using shop to work, clean, drink beer shoot pool and look at bike this winter is open just ALWAYS clean your mess, put tools away and pay $20.00 a month for storing. Oh and help replenish beer supply time to time
