Yamaha Other description

A great opportunity to buy an extremely nice, very original, running, titled 125 Yamaha Enduro!!!  The one you drooled on when you were a kid.

This bike makes you smile just staring at it!!

I just don't know how this beauty survived 40 years without being crashed, beaten, "stripped down to save weight", etc....It's a  Good bet this bike was never in the hands of some kid!!!

Somewhere along the decades...it  appears someone may have re -painted the cylinder black. All the red and grey/silver is original

Make no mistake... this bike is screaming bright red... the early morning sun made it look a little washed out in some pics.

Clean Michigan Title
2929 Miles!!!!!
Runs nice and shifts, stops ,idles correct too.   Does not have that "I've been beat to death" piston slap. Nice tight engine
Build date 12/74   titled as a 1976

Lights and guages work as does the electric start. Battery is a bit weak

please note seat has a rip that I fixed with some Black silicone.

Underseat very nice and clean. seatpan nice and original paint. seatfoam nice shape not rotted
Oil injection intact and working
Bars not original but nice
hand controls and buttons in great shape.. no broken buttons

bike appears to have "never been beaten, extremely dirty, drug thru mud bogs, etc". It's never been "a rusty mess"

I believe the tires are original... there is some dry rot but hold air just fine.
spokes are in nice shape... rims are very nice... but do notice the 2 inch spot on the right side of the front rim where the chrome is scraped..  Beyond that... rims and spokes are very nice and shine with nice luster

The paint gleams and there is no fade
The is an ever so slight crease in the top of the tank..... will try to get a picture but it's so faint. I mean it;s slight!!
front fender in great shape.. slight amount of paint flaked off the top.. slight... but not broken, cracked, tweaked or fixed.

Headlight ears straight and never tweaked... how did that happen?

pipe and silencer and heat guard all in nice shape

happy to answer question or take special pictures

overseas sales just fine with me, I will work with your shipper

This is a very original example of this iconic early enduro... I bet you'd be hard pressed to find another un-restored one around in this kind of crisp, clean condition

No vintage bike ad is complete without the word "patina"... this bike has less patina than you would expect!!!  There... I used the word!!

NO PAYPAL FOR ENTIRE PURCHASE UNLESS YOU ARE PAYING THE FEE!!  300.00 IMMEDIATE DEPOSIT REQUIRED and please contact me asap after listing is over. Thanks

How to solve the mystery of the wildcard replacement

Wed, 30 Jun 2010

With the two test riders coming forward to act as replacement riders for the injured Rossi and Aoyama, it brought back memories of the days when the grid would be gifted with wildcard riders from the respective countries. The Japanese rounds were always attended by some of the top guys with experience of the 500GP and MotoGP bikes, through racing them in their domestic championships. What resulted was getting to witness the exciting and talented Japanese riders, and bring new riders to the attention of the teams.

Yamaha Confirms Leaning Multi-Wheeler for 2014 – Will the Tesseract Concept Finally Become Reality?

Wed, 03 Jul 2013

Yamaha confirmed it plans to introduce a new Leaning Multi-Wheeler (LMW) vehicle for 2014. An accompanying image of a test unit in camouflage reveals two closely-aligned front wheels beneath a broad fairing. The new model will be a three-wheeler similar to Piaggio‘s MP3 scooter instead of the four wheels like the Tesseract concept (pictured further below) first introduced at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show.
