Yamaha Other tech info
Yamaha Other description
Up for grabs is a beautifully restored 1972 Yamaha DT2-MX, The 1972 DT2MX was the first Yamaha model designed strictly for the motocross market. The DT2MX came standard with reed valve induction, a CDI ignition with button-mag and Yamaha’s Autolube system, which automatically mixed oil with the gas. Most serious racers removed the Autolube system and ran pre-mix as a safety measure. This bike is currently set up to run as premix only for safety measures. The restoration was a full frame up restoration, the frame was powder coated and the motor was rebuilt by a local shop that goes by the name of Halls Precision Machinework. During the restoration process many NOS parts were installed if they were OEM Yamaha the factory parts are restored to new condition and replaced on the bike. The bike also has brand-new tires and a professional Basecoat clearcoat automotive paint that was $1100 alone. Motor and engine numbers are matching DT1F- 189359 Please keep in mind the bike is been fully restored to perfection so it's very hard to go into little detail on how beautiful the bike is other than the fact that it looks like it rolled off the showroom floor. Since the restoration the bike is spent most all of its life on display in my man cave. The bike does come with a Billis sale only. There is no option on the eBay listing for bill of sale. Also noted the bike is for sale locally and I do reserve the right to cancel my auction at any given time. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions. I encourage all bidders to feel free to send a mechanic on their behalf or come down themselves to view the bike in person.I can also email more images upon request thank you and happy bidding
