1969 Yamaha DT1 250 enduro, restored to the original specs. Fantastic bike for all the collectors and the enthusiast. We did everything possible to get this bike into NOS features and that’s what we did. This bike runs like new.

Powder coated with gloss black: Frame and swing arm

Yamaha black paint: tool box, skid plate, footrest, kick stand, toolbox, seat pan, foot brake, meter bracket, crown handle, under bracket, bar tension, air box

Original color paint (Candy yellow orange): Gas tank, oil tank, headlight bucket and (2) ears

Shade gray paint: Front fender, rear fender and chain guard.

Applied two clear coat for longer protection: Tool box, skid plate, footrest, kick stand, toolbox, seat pan, foot brake, meter bracket, crown handle, under bracket, gas tank oil tank, headlight bucket, (2) ears, chain guard,

Polished fuel tank, oil tank, head light, ears, both fenders and chain guard.

Engine

Cleaning: Vapor blasts engine case, cylinder, cylinder head, carburetor and petcock

Complete engine re-building: Bored cylinder to 3rd oversize, new original keystone piston and piston rings. Re-shape cylinder and painted with high heat gloss with gasoline resistant ( nos looks ). All gaskets and engine seals are new.

Inspect all gears, new bearings, clips and washers

Polished: wheel hubs and levers and lever holders.

Re-chrome: Speedometer/ tachometer housing, kick start, shift lever, handle bar, both rear shock springs, ignition key housing, front fender brackets etc.

Shiny cad zinc plating

All nuts and bolts, spokes and other accessories has been zinc plated for good look and for rust prevention, reshaped nuts and bolts that are neglected. New chain link

Complete re-build front shocks

Electrical

Inspected and cleaned flywheel and magneto. New point

Refurbished electrical wires, refurbished tachometer, speedometer and horn etc. cleaned all electrical switches, re-set speedometer to o miles

Brand new cables, new grommet on the front and rear fender, new grips, new kick start and shift rubbers.

We reported earlier today Yamaha Motor USA unveiled new colors and graphics for its 2013 YZF-R1 and YZF-R6. Mechanically unchanged from last year’s models, Yamaha‘s two sportbikes each get three color options including a “Team Yamaha” blue and white model. What Yamaha isn’t offering to its U.S.

This is the white and gold 2012 Yamaha R1. It's also the bike I shall be commuting on for the next 8 months. The crouched riding position and murderous amounts of power may not be ideally suited for the London grind, but with plenty of track action planned I have to make some compromises. Day 11 marked the longest stage to date of the Dakar Rally, as the competitors tackled the 605km (376 miles) special stage, covering a variety of terrain, hard ground, mountains, plus 120km (75 miles) of sand and dunes in the Copiapo area. Despite this, and a fall at the beginning of the stage, Marc Coma again demonstrated his status as boss of the Dakar 2014, by picking up his third victory of the year, further reinforcing his position at the top of the general standings. Five-time Dakar winner Cyril Depres opened the piste for 400km before dropping slightly to finish just 02:31 behind Marc Coma in first.
