Yamaha FZ tech info
Yamaha FZ description
I am selling my 2006 Yamaha FZ6 600cc motorcycle. The bike is clean, is completely STOCK, and has only 4k original miles on it. I have only owned it about five months and bought it from the original ADULT owner in Bergen County, NJ. He had ridden it under five times per year since he bought it brand new in 2007. I have the title in hand. I have an aftermarket K&N air filter and other small parts I have not installed that will be included. I have aftermarket carbon fiber appearance mirrors brand new in box as well. It has never been raced or aggressively ridden, and has always been garage kept. Only con is that original owner dropped the bike in his driveway resulting in a minor split in the right front fairing. Very easy to fix. Photo shown.
This bike is sitting in my garage and the title is ready to be signed over. |

Jefferies' TT V&M R1 for sale
Tue, 26 Apr 2011We got a tip-off about a former David Jefferies TT R1 for sale on eBay. The owner says it's from the 1998 TT but I'm pretty sure it was the one he raced in 1999. Here's a little bit more background about the V&M TT effort in 1999: In 1990 Jack Valentine gave up racing to concentrate on running V&M Racing, and after being sacked by Honda at the end of the 1998 season, the team set about to do some giant killing.

Mon, 18 Jun 2012Racing legend Giacomo Agostini celebrated his 70th birthday at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone this weekend, where he was celebrated by Yamaha. “Ago”, who holds the all-time record for Grand Prix wins (122) and Grand Prix World Championships (15), was feted in a ceremony that also included current Yamaha riders Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies as well as retired racers Loris Capirossi, Phil Read, John Cooper, Angel Nieto, Franco Uncini and Jim Redman, as well as MotoGP promoter Carmelo Ezpeleta and Yamaha Classic Racing Team principal Ferry Brouwer. Yamaha presented Agostini with a one-off T-Max scooter with livery inspired by his 1975 championship-winning YZR500 OW23.
Yamaha Focusing on Developing Model Platforms
Mon, 22 Sep 2014Following the success of its MT platform, Yamaha says it will continue to develop new models based on shared platforms, allowing for a choice of multiple models while reducing overall costs. Speaking in a presentation on the company’s business operation, Yamaha Motor President Hiroyuki Yanagi reiterated the strategy of developing multiple models sharing the same engine and frame. Honda has followed a similar strategy with its NC models, seeing the platform evolve to include the CTX700 and NM4.
