Yamaha FJR description

2005 Yamaha FJR1300, by a wide margin. But the recent purchase of a Z06 Corvette has it a bit lonely, lately. As can be seen in the photo, it has all three hard bags and tank bra. Other options: Handlebar spacer (positions them higher and rearward) Cruising pegs Heated grips Signal Minder (auto cancel) Fresh gel-cell battery Five matching helmets, two with internal sun visor and Bluetooth intercom. It's never been down and is cosmetically near perfect, only normal wear. The tires are fresh and spectacular. Major service less than 500 miles ago. Forks received new seals and bushings at that time. There are zero issues with this bike, mechanically perfect. It is ready for the road. This was the fastest and best handling bike that was also comfortable enough to enjoy a proper road trip. It remains astonishingly near the front of that pack, even today. It's heavier and less flick-able than the pure sport bikes, but it's still a real joy to drag pegs on... even 2 up. From Cycle World - Best Used Bikes - November 21, 2011 Basic specs: A fully faired sport-tourer thats equal parts sport and touringand good at both types of riding. Its headline features are quick-detach hard saddlebags, an electrically adjustable windshield and a 1298cc inline-Four engine good for 121 rear-wheel horsepower and 88 foot-pounds of torque, enough to push the 569-pound (dry) FJR through the quarter-mile in just 10.95 seconds at 123.29 mph Why it won: Although the very first U.S. edition of the FJR1300 won CWs Best Sport-Touring honors in 2002, it actually was an early-release 2003 modelso early, in fact, that we were able to test it and give it our Ten Best award in the July, 2002 issue. The FJ wowed us with its combination of superb long-distance comfort, surprising backroad agility and steamroller-class torque. It was fast enough to make any other sport-tourer of the time seem stuck in wet concrete but civil enough to casually putter along without complaint when all that the rider (and passenger) cared to do was kick back and enjoy the scenery. With their Kelley Blue Book values set at between 5 and 6K, an 03 or 04 FJR can be a killer buy-in for what remains a fantastic sport-touring machine, even by todays higher standards.

Batman’s Original Batcycle

Thu, 11 Dec 2008

Oh, that Batman and his toys, those marvelous toys. Millionaire Bruce Wayne’s alter ego has always had a penchant for accessories. While normally reserved for freeing him and boy wonder from intellectually challenged villains, he has also had his fair share of tricked-out transportation over the years.

Yamaha Champions Riding School Sold Out June 9 & 10

Tue, 03 Jun 2014

It took more than a year for the Yamaha Champions Riding School to sell out at its former location of Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah. Since its return at New Jersey Motorsports Park, the school has sold out in less than a half of season. There are any number of reasons this could be the case.
