Combined Shipping

*****If you win multiple items and wish to combine shipping that is fine. But, please be sure to pay the bid price for each item within 3 days. We are happy to wait as long as you would like to ship - but the items must be paid for within that time frame. Shipping will be added with the final purchase. Thanks!.*****

Shipping

We are always happy to combine shipping when possible. The final rate depends on where the package is being shipped, its weight and dimensions.

International first class shipping can take as long as 6 weeks to arrive. Doesn't always happen - but it is always a possibility.

Just an FYI on international shipping rates and combining - once a package weighs 4 pounds or more and/or exceeds a total of 36 inches in dimension it must be shipped priority or express and the post office will not allow it to be shipped via first class.

All international packages will be marked merchandise on the customs form(s) - not gift. Also, keep in mind that insurance amounts must match package value. Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer’s additional responsibility. Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying.

We always intend to charge actual shipping rates - we never intend to profit on shipping! If ever the amount paid is incorrectly calculated with the buyer paying too much we always refund! That said, sometimes we do not realize this has occurred if we are mailing a lot of packages at once - please always feel welcome to let us know if you have been overcharged - we will be more than happy to refund any change!

Returns

If we have misrepresented any item(s) and the buyer is not pleased and, unless the auction states otherwise, we are happy to offer returns/refunds under reasonable circumstances but must be notified within 14 days after we inform the buyer the item has shipped.

We Are Not Pet-Free!

And probably never will be! That said, we wholly respect your not wanting to bid if you are at all sensitive to anything pets-related. There is always the chance that you will find some animal fur in your package - at no additional charge to you. We absolutely try to make sure this does not happen - but, as anyone with pets knows - pet fur has a mind and drive of its own and will sneak in when no one is looking.

Late Payment

If payment is not received 3 days from auction end, we reserve the right to relist the item, file a nonpaying bidder report and leave appropriate feedback. If you can not pay within that time frame but do intend to pay - that is fine as long as you let us know and we make alternate arrangements - but, you have to communicate with us so we know!

Video: 180bhp N2O injected Vincent

Tue, 21 Feb 2012

The Greek God Epithemeus - the name of this three-wheeled, 180bhp Vincent record breaker - was the brother of Prometheus. Epithemeus (meaning afterthought) was the creator of many dangerous, ill thought-out beasts. Unlike his dilligent brother, Epithemeus was a bit of a f**kwit who threw everything at his powerful new animal creations with little thought of the consequences. A perfect name, then.

Built For Speed Art Exhibit To Be Displayed At Sturgis Buffalo Chip

Wed, 23 Jul 2014

“Built for Speed – Race Inspired Motorcycles and Art” is the title of Michael Lichter’s 14th annual “Motorcycles as Art” exhibition in Sturgis this August, which for the second year in a row, will be jointly curated by Michael and Paul d’Orleans of the Vintagent. ‘Built for Speed’ is sure to impress visitors with a beautiful and thought-provoking display of motorcycles and related art, the race-inspired theme making connections between motorcycle racing and custom bike designs inspired by racers. Each custom bike in ‘Built for Speed’ reflects a branch of racing; Speedway, Flat Track, Drag Racing, Board Track,  Grand Prix, Land Speed Record, and will be displayed beside the racing machines suggesting the origins of each style.

Behind the “Bathing Suit” Picture

Fri, 09 Jan 2009

Few motorcycle photographs are as iconic as that of the famous Bonneville “Bathing Suit Picture.” While you have undoubtedly seen this image before, you may not know the story behind it. The scantily clad and debatably crazy rider was a man by the name of Roland “Rollie” Free. The bike, often thought by many to be a Vincent Black Shadow, was in fact a Black Lightning – the fastest Vincent ever to see production.
