It has convenient storage space, comfortable seating for 1 or twoFeatures Classic Victory Bagger Style: It's the intersection of classic style and modern performance technology. The Victory Cross Roads Classic has a stunning Two-Tone Bronze Mist & Khaki paint scheme on all the bodywork front and rear fenders, fuel tank and side covers. There's classic style from fender tip to fender tip. Studded Seats & Saddlebags: The seats and saddlebags are trimmed with metal studs for a classic American motorcycle look. The stylish saddlebags are also ultra-functional, providing 17.4 gallons of convenient storage space. The lids extend over the bag openings to protect cargo and the lids buckle securely shut. Classic Light Bar & Comfort-Enhancing Windshield: A stylish chrome light bar is standard on the Cross Roads Classic, and it provides valuable aux lighting as well as classic bagger style. The windshield offers wind and weather protection to keep riders fresher during great days on the open road. Freedom 106/6 VOLT-Twin: 106ft-lb of Torque, six Gear Transmission: Your Victory Cross Roads Classic has style and performance. The Victory Freedom 106/6 VOLT-Twin is a 106-ci engine that delivers 106ft-lb of torque. It's a smooth, efficient engine counter-balanced and fuel-injected. The sixth gear overdrive of the Victory six gear transmission drops the RPMs and delivers the smooth ride you're looking for. 2-Up Seating: Enjoy solo riding or ride 2-up on the roomy, stylish Cross Roads Classic seat. It's comfortable enough for you to ride all day and leave the pack behind. Add Lock & Ride accessory backrests for custom style and extra support. 26.3" Seat Height: The 26.3 in. seat height is the lowest in its class. This helps riders with all inseam lengths plant both feet firmly on the ground. A lower seat height provides a rider with greater control of the bike and enhances a rider's confidence at low speeds and when stopped. 4.7" of Rear Suspension Travel: The Victory Cross Roads Classic rear suspension keeps the ride smooth. It provides 4.7 in. of travel, and its air shock is easily adjusted using a hand pump for a consistently smooth ride. Ride solo or 2-up, with or without cargo, and the rear suspension will keep it smooth. Long-Range 5.8-Gallon Fuel Tank: Your Victory Cross Roads Classic belongs on the street, not by a gas pump. The 5.8-gallon fuel tank gives you outstanding range so you can rule the streets and enjoy long stretches on the open road between fill-ups.Engine Battery: twelve volts / 18 amp hours Bore x Stroke: 101 x 108 mm Charging System: 48 amps max output Clutch: Wet, multi-plate Compression Ratio: 9.4 : one Cooling System: Air / oil Displacement: 106 ci / 1731 cc Engine Type: 4-stroke 50 deg. WSBK 2013: Nurburgring Race Report

Tue, 03 Sep 2013

Tom Sykes has taken over the lead in the 2013 World Superbike Championship standings after splitting race victories with Chaz Davies at Germany’s Nurburgring circuit. Both races ended prematurely however with red flags during the final laps. Pata Honda‘s Jonathan Rea and FIXI Crescent Suzuki‘s Leon Camier both crashed on the 18th lap of Race One after running into oil spilled on the track from Pedercini Kawasaki racer Federico Sandi‘s ZX-10R.

Polaris Reports Q1 2012 Results

Wed, 18 Apr 2012

Polaris Industries reported a 44% increase in on-road vehicle sales revenue and a 40% increase in North American Victory Motorcycle unit sales over the first quarter of 2012. According to Polaris’ first quarter report, its on-road vehicle division (which consists of the Victory and Indian motorcycle brands as well as electric vehicle brands GEM and Goupil) generated $64.7 million in sales revenue, compared to $44.9 million reported in the same quarter of 2011. Of course, the Polaris didn’t yet own Indian, GEM or Goupil during that quarter last year, so the figures are a bit misleading.

Surely more wins are on the cards for Seeley and the 2011 Gixer?

Thu, 02 Jun 2011

The amazing Alex Lowes is deservedly grabbing all the attention in the BSB paddock at the moment, but I believe last year’s top Superbike rookie, Alistair Seeley is doing an equally impressive job in the Supersport class. Although he looks ten years younger, thirty one year old Seeley  is riding one of only two 2011 600 GSXRs (fellow countryman Marty Nutt is on the other) in the class. Alistair has finished on the podium four times including a race win at the opening Brand Hatch round and currently lies second in the championship.  He also took victory on the Gixer in the only race run at the North West 200 last month and was looking like the runaway winner last Sunday at Thruxton until electrical gremlins struck after opening up a seven second lead.
