This bike features a ride-by-wire throttle system incorporating a true electronic cruise control - great for logging those highway miles. Off road, the bike is surprisingly nimble with good ergonomics and a wide, predictable power band. Whether long distance touring or back roads cruising, the Explorer is right at home. This bike has also been fitted with Triumph's lockable and removable dynamic luggage and Triumph's adjustable tall screen kit to help customize the windshield's height no matter whose in the saddle. Shayna Texter Looks Towards 2014 Sacramento Mile
Thu, 12 Jun 2014Even a month-and-a-half out, 23-year-old factory Triumph rider, Shayna Texter, has her eyes on the Sacramento Mile scheduled for July 26, 2014. Although Sacramento is a continent away from her Willow Street, PA home, Texter has the momentum of having won the Pro Singles class events at the Cal Expo for the past two years. For 2014, Texter has stepped up to the premier class, the Grand National Championship, and begins the adjustment from the Pro Singles support class to the big show.
Triumph Tiger Explorer and Trophy SE Recalled for Throttle Position Sensor Error
Wed, 29 Jan 2014Triumph is recalling a combined total of 2,800 units of the Tiger Explorer and Trophy SE due to a problem with the electronic control unit detecting the throttle position. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the ECU’s detection threshold is set too tightly and it lacked proper signal filtering, causing it to prematurely detecting a deviation in the throttle butterfly position. The ECU would then activate the ride-by-wire system’s safety shutdown, closing the throttle butterly valve and cutting the fuel and ignition.

Mon, 29 Mar 2010The weather was pretty good over the weekend and I managed to get 500 miles in and become better acquainted with the Speed Triple. I’m still running it in but as it’s reputation suggest the bike doesn’t disappoint. There are some noticeable differences over most other naked bikes I’ve ridden, you could call them quirks, but i'll talk about those in a week or so.
