1971 Triumph Tiger , Restoration completed in 2007 with over $9,000 invested. Receipts, factory repro workshop manual and parts book included with purchase. Excellent mechanical condition. Needs nothing but routine maintenance and a rider! Not a numbers matching bike with all OEM parts or an original paint scheme; however, if youre looking for an outstanding classic that starts on the first kick, runs detonation free on pump gas, doesnt leak oil and gets attention wherever you go this is your British motorbike! Below is a partial list of work performed and upgrades completed: Work performed: Frame and associated parts disassembled, stripped and painted. Frame alignment checked. New seat cushion and cover installed. Rear swing-arm rebuilt with new bushings and seals fitted. Fuel tank stripped, painted and sealed. New UK chrome rims with stainless steel spokes installed. Wheel hubs stripped and powder coated. Hubs and brakes rebuilt with new bearings and seals fitted. All worn parts replaced. All unsightly engine and frame chrome pieces rechromed or replaced. Rebuilt speedometer, tachometer and new cables installed. Clutch and primary chain mechanism rebuilt. All worn parts replaced. Transmission and shifter mechanism rebuilt. 2012 Triumph Daytona 675, 675R Recalled in Canada for Missing Throttle Cable Guide

Transport Canada announced a recall for the 2012 Triumph Daytona 675 and 675R because certain units may be missing a throttle cable guide. Without the guide, the throttle cable may get stuck in the steering stop, preventing the throttle from opening or closing properly. Such a situation could result in a loss of propulsion or, if the throttle is stuck open, could make it difficult to slow or stop the motorcycle.

The 2012 Daytona 200 delivered another fairy-tale finish with underdog privateer Joey Pascarella and the Project 1 Atlanta team fending off a pack of three other racers to win by a slim 0.048 second margin. Competing in just his first Daytona 200, 19-year-old Pascarella from Victorville, Calif., held the lead for 41 out of 57 laps to finish first ahead of a last year’s winner Jason DiSalvo while Cameron Beaubier squeezed by 2010 Daytona Sportbike Champion Martin Cardenas in a photo-finish to take third. For the Project 1 Atlanta team, the win marked a dramatic turnaround from a let down in 2011.

I've done some pretty strange things on motorcycles over the years. The less said the better, really. But getting nicked by a horse mounted copper was a first for me.
