It’s not just better than its rivals, it’s one of the best-handling bikes you can buy." One thing they forgot...POWER - 105HP at 370LBS DRY! The only difference between right now and when I rode this bike out of the dealer is that it is broken in! Gosh, those were a long 800 or so miles before I could really see what this machine is made of. All I can say is that I will miss being able to go from comfortably cruising along at a refined speed and then...whooosh hit the throttle and you're riding motoGP. This bike runs perfectly smooth, sounds thrilling, and is comfortable and refined to ride. It's been regularly maintained and serviced at the dealer only. I'v also ridden it regularly throughout its whole life (unfortunately only about an hour each week, hence the low miles), It truly great for newer riders and seasoned track enthusiasts. Why am I selling it? ...because I've decided that I must add some dirt into my life and need an adventure tourer. Includes an option of 3 seats: the custom Corbin seat pictured, stock triumph seat, triumph "high comfort" accessory seat. (Multiple seats are available for at reduced cost, arranged after purchase). The Carpenter Racing engine kit boosts the stock 2300cc Triumph Rocket III Roadster from 146bhp to 240-plus rwhp and is fully streetable for daily commuting. It’s available now on new 2013 Triumph Rocket III motorcycles.
50th Anniversary Of The Great Escape To Be Celebrated With Electric Motorcycle
Wed, 26 Jun 2013July 4th marks the 50th anniversary of the iconic Steve McQueen film, “The Great Escape,” and to commemorate the golden anniversary of McQueen’s escape attempt from German forces during WWII, McQueen Motorcycle will unveil a special electric motorcycle, the Xscape. The Xscape is scheduled to be McQueen Motorcycle’s first production motorcycle, with cues to incorporate today’s technology and integrate “the history and design of tradition.” Details are scarce at this point, but considering McQueen rode a Triumph TR6 Trophy in the scene, it would be reasonable to expect similar styling. In fact, looking closely at the photo above will reveal wire wheels, most likely a nod to the vintage Triumph.
AMA Pro Racing Announces Basic Twins Flat Track Class for 2014 Season
Fri, 12 Apr 2013AMA Pro Racing announced a new class for Flat Track racing designed to provide a new stepping stone for up-and-coming Pro-licensed racers, replacing the Pro Singles class in 2014. The new class, to be called Basic Twins, is more or less a revival of the Basic Expert Twins division that ran during the 2007 and 2008 seasons, but dropped when the Pro Singles class was introduced for 2009. The new class will give young racers a chance to showcase their skills on Twins, easing their transition to eventually enter the Grand National Expert Twins class.
