You are bidding on a two-owner Triumph Speed Triple 955i three cylinder sporting standard motorcycle.
The original owner purchased new in December 1998, and I bought it February 2012. Currently the bike is around 82,000 miles, but that number will likely change as it is still being ridden. Recent service includes:
Synthetic oil, filter, spark plugs, air filter change, ignition coils replaced, gel battery, Michelin Pilot Power 2ct front and rear, 520 chain and sprockets, Leo Vince carbon muffler, Biltwell grips, Bar end mirrors, Both seats recovered in diamond stitch by Gruesome Gator in Pinellas Park, FL This motorcycle was recently tuned at Proven Power in Tampa, FL, and the dyno sheets show 106.27 horsepower and 63.74 lb/ft of torque to the rear wheel. These numbers are strong for a 17 year old bike with over 80k miles! Tue, 04 Feb 2014The Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC) reported a modest 1.4% growth in U.S. motorcycle and scooter sales in 2013, with consumers purchasing 465,783 vehicles. The sales data represents numbers from the MIC’s member brands which include BMW, Can-Am, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, the Piaggio Group (which includes Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and Vespa), Victory, Suzuki, Triumph and Yamaha.
Riding round the north of Scotland
Mon, 20 Aug 2012I’m ashamed to say that until last week, I had no idea what incredible roads and scenery the North West of Scotland had to offer. Starting at Helensburgh just west of Glasgow, ten of us (including ex racers Duffus, MacPherson, Morrison and Simpson,) rode 600 miles round the coast then back down to Inverness. On mostly empty but immaculate roads we lost count of the mountains, lochs and sandy beaches along the way.
