Triumph Rocket III description

2008 Rocket III Touring, very low mileage. With only 5876 miles, this beauty is barely broken in. Garage kept and used only for highway trips, you won't beat the mileage, condition, the power, and all around enjoyment on the road. We were planning to keep this baby for the life of the vehicle; unfortunately, due to health reasons, we have to sell. Authentic custom-touring style with all new frame for 2008, wheels, tank, lights, bars and footboards. Suspension tuned for touring provides sumptuous ride quality. Low seat and center of gravity makes for easy handling. Full size quick release screen, huge 36 lier panniers, and clean as a whistle shaft drive help you arrive relaxed yet ready to go. What does it have in common with the rest of the rocket III family? The astonishing 2.3 liter triple engine. Effortless overtakes, solo or fully loaded. And the cornering ability of a bike half its size lets you glide through the bends. I have fully enjoyed this bike. Traded my Harley for it.

Craig Vetter Grand Marshall for 2012 AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days

Tue, 22 May 2012

PICKERINGTON, Ohio — AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame member and noted designer Craig Vetter — whose contributions to motorcycling range from the iconic Windjammer fairings and the Triumph X-75 Hurricane to the Mystery Ship limited-production high-performance motorcycles and a number of high-profile motorcycle fuel-economy contests — will be honored as this year’s grand marshal at AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days featuring Rockers and Mods, July 20-22, at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. Vetter has been a member of the American Motorcyclist Association and a designer since 1965, and his varied background gives him a unique alliance to both the Rockers and Mods motorcycle subcultures. His design projects over the years have involved café racers — the motorcycles of choice for Rockers — and scooters, which are favored by Mods.

2012 Triumph Daytona 675, 675R Recalled in Canada for Missing Throttle Cable Guide

Tue, 21 May 2013

Transport Canada announced a recall for the 2012 Triumph Daytona 675 and 675R because certain units may be missing a throttle cable guide. Without the guide, the throttle cable may get stuck in the steering stop, preventing the throttle from opening or closing properly. Such a situation could result in a loss of propulsion or, if the throttle is stuck open, could make it difficult to slow or stop the motorcycle.
