2011 Triumph Thruxton 900

The 2011 Triumph Thruxton is a sporty, classic motorcycle that got its inspiration from the Bonneville-based café racer-style bikes popular in the 1960s. Launched in 2004, it got its name from the famous Hampshire racetrack in Great Britain – a place Triumph had a great deal of success.

An air-cooled, 865-cc, twin cylinder engine that churns out 68-horsepower at 7400 revolutions per minute (rpm) and 51 lb-ft of torque at 5800 rpm powers the 2011 Triumph Thruxton, which is an incredible improvement from the Bonneville. IT's fun to ride. Thanks to 1.7-inch forks teamed with chromed twin shock absorbers, both adjustable for preload, ride and handling is composed and pleasant.

The 2012 Triumph Tiger 1050 and the special edition version receive updated suspension with new damping settings for both the front and the rear as well as a stiffer rear shock. Triumph says the updates will provide a more controlled ride for both riding solo or with a passenger while brake diving is also reduced.

May Day Run: Toy Story 3 Street Triple

Tue, 03 May 2011

Every year on the first Bank holiday in May more than 25,000 bikers take to the A21 and ride to Hastings for what is Kent’s biggest bike meet. The official route starts at Locksbottom in London and follows the A21 all the way to the coastal town of Hastings. We picked up the 50 mile spectator-clad route about half way down and in our group of 5 took a casual poodle down.
