Triumph Other description

Up for auction is this wonderful condition 1971 Triumph T100C Special. This machine is highly modified to resemble a Triumph home-market bike that might have rolled off the Meriden assembly line in 1960 for sale in Great Britain. Considerable attention to detail has gone into the completeness of the look including the exhaust, QD rear wheel, instruments, seat, shocks, hand controls, handlebars, headlamp, tail lamp, number plates, authentic tax disk and transfers - all drawn from earlier model T100 production.

The mechanical condition of this T100 is very well sorted. This machine has had a thorough going over since I acquired it in the Fall of 2014. As a result, the bike is very dependable and runs like a dream. Below are just a few of the items lavished on this bike to make her as ship-shape as possible for serious regular riding.

* New solid state regulator/rectifier
* New sealed AGM battery
* New Hagon shocks
* Rebuilt forks with new bushes, seals and gators
* Rebuilt head with new springs, guides and Black Diamond valves
* New piston rings on +20 standard compression pistons
* New cables throughout
* Sleeved and rebuilt early Amal Concentric carburetor
* New coils, plug wires and plugs caps
* New Pazon electronic ignition
* New Avon AM26 tires and new tubes
* New clutch plates and springs
* New primary sprocket
* New alternator rotor and stator
* New clutch actuator mechanism and kick-start quadrant

The culmination of these items and much more are an easy starting, dependable and well running bike that has held up to regular use as well as successfully completing the last two Moto Melee events  (a three day, 850 mile, back roads, classic bike, California ride-a-thon).
This T100 comes fully serviced and ready to ride. So whether you want a dependable classic bike for a daily commuter, or a weekend canyon carver - this bike won't disappoint you.

Despite the above average cosmetics on this bike, this is not a show bike in the museum sense of the word. Please understand it has spent its life as a rider and it has its dings, scrapes and chips, however minor. That said, it is presentable enough that it won its class at the 2016 annual Clubman Show in Northern California. I should also point out that the actual mileage on the bike is in question because when I acquired it, the speedometer she had at the time was not its original instrument. When I replaced the speedo, I had it set to the same mileage that was on the speedo when I acquired the bike. I have done just over 3,000 miles on the bike since I have finished resuscitating it.

I will be happy to work with your shipping service and can recommend one, if needed, that will provide door-to-door delivery almost anywhere in the 48 states for $773 or less. Buyer must make a $500 non-refundable PayPal deposit within 24 hours of auction's end. The balance to be paid by cash, check, or wire within seven working days of auction's end (for wire, all fees must be absorbed by the buyer).

Bid with confidence. I have thousands more invested in this bike than what the reserve is set for. There are 20 large photos on this page, please be patient for them all to load.

Vintage Bike Stash Found in Ohio

Mon, 05 Mar 2012

Brim’s Imports is a vintage motorcycle shop disguised as a used car dealership, and chances are you’ve never heard of the place or its proprietor, Tom Brim. If you’re in the market for a rare vintage motorcycle, however, it may behoove you to give Tom or his brother, Ralph, an old fashion phone call. A website does exist, brimsimport.com, but its for searching the inventory of late model car and truck parts — the cash flow supporting Tom’s motorcycle obsession.

Triumph Reveals Thruxton Ace Café Special Edition for US Market – Video

Mon, 13 Oct 2014

This past weekend at the Barber Vintage Festival, Triumph took the wraps off a special edition Thruxton that was created with the famed Ace Café London. Harkening back to one of the lynchpins of the British café racer movement of the 1960s, the Thruxton Ace Café Special Edition molds the profile of the classic Triumph racer of the era to the thoroughly modern Thruxton.
