1972 Triumph Bonneville 650 5 Speed, right side shift, barn fresh condition, perfect for a total restoration or custom bike build. I would honestly say that it's about 95% complete, it's missing the seat, side covers, and some other odds and ends. What you see is what you get.
This is a MATCHING NUMBERS bike, has a clear Virginia title in my name, due to a typo it is titled as a 1973 but using the VIN you will see that it is a 1972 and the first year of the triumph 5 speed bonneville. I picked this up for a street tracker project i had planned, now we have a child on the way so i'm clearing out some extra projects that have been collecting dust. THIS IS NOT A RUNNING MOTORCYCLE, THIS IS BEING SOLD AS IS AND WILL NEED A TOTAL REBUILD FROM THE GROUND UP. Tue, 22 May 2012PICKERINGTON, Ohio — AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame member and noted designer Craig Vetter — whose contributions to motorcycling range from the iconic Windjammer fairings and the Triumph X-75 Hurricane to the Mystery Ship limited-production high-performance motorcycles and a number of high-profile motorcycle fuel-economy contests — will be honored as this year’s grand marshal at AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days featuring Rockers and Mods, July 20-22, at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. Vetter has been a member of the American Motorcyclist Association and a designer since 1965, and his varied background gives him a unique alliance to both the Rockers and Mods motorcycle subcultures. His design projects over the years have involved café racers — the motorcycles of choice for Rockers — and scooters, which are favored by Mods.
2012-2013 Triumph Daytona 675, Speed Triple, Street Triple, Tiger 800 Recalled in Canada
Mon, 25 Mar 2013Transport Canada has announced a recall for the 2012 and 2013 Triumph Daytona 675, Speed Triple, Street Triple and Tiger 800 because of a flaw in their turn signals. Several members of the Motorcycle.com forum network’s TriumphRat.net community have reported issues with turn signals breaking off, and this recall appears to address the issue. According to Transport Canada, the supports for the front and rear turn signals were incorrectly manufactured and may break.
