Triumph Bonneville description

Up for auction is a 1970 Triumph Bonneville, Restored. This was a nut and bolt restoration. Everything is new or rebuilt. The motor and transmission were rebuilt, by a shop that just does British motorcycles. It has new Amal Carbs on it. Bike starts first or second kick. The paint was purchased from Don Hutchinson's shop and professionally applied. The pin striping was done by Wild Bill Betz. The nuts and bolts were cad plated. The Tires and rims are new, with new stainless spokes.  The rims were made in the UK.The frame and most of the parts have been powder coated. The gauges were rebuilt. There are only a few miles showing on the speedometer, because I had an old speedometer on the bike for the first 190 miles, while the ones were being rebuilt. The bike idles and runs great, the charging system work as it should. The bike runs,Stops and Rides with no problems. I had no trouble with the bike during the miles I have put on it. I have installed a halogen Headlight bulb and also the Pilot bulb. I have tried to describe this bike the best as I can. It is being sold as is with no guarantees  implied.Any questions please ask before bidding. Winning Bidder is responsible for paying for and making shipping arrangements. Winning bidder to pay a $500.00 deposit within72 hours of auctions end,by PayPal, Certified or Cash. Balance to be paid within 7 days of auctions end by Certified Check or Cash. Triumph Speed - A City Tool

Thu, 29 Apr 2010

The Triple and I have covered 2500 miles now and most of that has been commuting through London. Last year I was riding Kawasaki’s ZX-6R and the constant gear changing, braking and acceleration was taking its toll. After 5000 miles the Kwak was feeling loose, rough and generally hard to ride smoothly.

Triumph Sets Sales Record but Suffers First Operating Loss Since 2009

Thu, 12 Dec 2013

Triumph sold 52,089 motorcycles from its fiscal year ended June 30, 2013, setting a new company record for annual sales. At the same time, the company announced an operating loss of £95,000 (US$155,300), the company’s time in the red since 2009. Much of the operating loss was caused by foreign currency exchanges and the cost of starting up manufacturing facilities in Brazil and India.

The Triple's ready, three days early!

Wed, 24 Mar 2010

Mark Forsyth returned our Bonneville long termer today, and the Speed Triple was ready at the triumph factory to be brought back with him…three days early. Here’s a picture of it ‘wedged’ in the back of our new Ford Wildtrak. The bad news is, it won’t arrive at our London office until Friday, patience Andy, patience.
