1973 TM250K - If you are a Suzuki TM collector (like me) then you already know how rare these bikes are. Almost every one of these wound up chopped up, modified, or butchered beyond repair. These were an interesting bike due to their being based off the TS line and utilizing many TS items such as forks, triple clamps, etc. The 400's were given a big update for '73, but not these 250's. The '72 & '73 TM 250's are very rare when found like this. Since there are very few reproduction parts being made for these early 250's, finding an original complete bike is very important. This is the best original '73 TM250K I've ever seen, and this one was just treated to a minor cosmetic and mechanical facelift. This almost all original bike has a new custom seat cover, Barum tires, the forks rebuilt (w/new seals & oil), and a pair of reproduction fenders (not exact, but close). Otherwise this bike is all original down to it's oil injection system, very nice original pipe, original lever-perches-cables-controls-throttle-etc. Original forks-triples-wheels w/Akronts, shocks, etc. Frame/swingarm original and unmodified. Extremely rare original paint tank has a couple small dings and some paint chips, but no rust. Aftermarket 'Richter Privateer' silencer added as the stock internal baffles were removed from this pipe. Upon motor inspection, we noticed that this bike has had some minor 'clean up' port work done inside cylinder as well. Neat bike, runs great, hard to find.

This bike is also for sale on my website AzMikesVMXbikes.com, and I reserve the right to end auction early with an acceptable offer. Any buyers wishing to make offer may contact me and I will insert a Buy-it Now option here on ebay so that buyer may end the auction early.

$250.00 deposit due through Paypal. Balance to be paid in full either upon pick up with cash, or in advance with check or wire transfer, within 7 days. Bike does not leave my possession until paid in full and all funds have cleared.

This is a used, vintage, off road, competition equipped motorcycle. It is sold in AS-IS condition with no guarantees or warrantees expressed or implied. Please know that no matter how nice a bike looks from the surface, there will INVARIABLY be items which need to be serviced, repaired, or replaced BY YOU prior to riding or racing it.

MotoGP to Re-Visit Rookie Rule

Tue, 19 Jun 2012

MotoGP organizers are re-opening discussion for the series’ rookie rule which prevents new riders from entering the series with factory teams. Introduced following the 2009 MotoGP season, the rule was designed to give satellite teams the chance to field young up-and-coming talents  they otherwise wouldn’t have been able to sign. The theory was the rule would protect the satellite teams and spread out the talent pool.

2014 WSBK – Assen Results

Mon, 28 Apr 2014

Heavy rains and a fortuitous red flag were the difference in the World Superbike Championship‘s visit to The Cathedral of motorcycle racing, the TT Circuit Assen in the Netherlands. Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli captured his second win of the season in Race 1, which was halted early by a red flag with five laps to go just as it looked like reigning WSBK champion Tom Sykes was gearing up for a final challenge. The second race was also shortened, not by a red flag but because of a rain, turning the 21-lap race into a 10-lap sprint.
