Bike haslow miles but I have ridden it for the summer and repaired everything that it needed.I pulled the head and cylinders and decarbonized it. The pistons and cylindersare in terrific shape I honed them very lightly and installed new rings. The crankseals are good. I cleaned and rebuilt the carbs and installed new rubber coverson the linkages and the throttle rods. Battery is almost new. I installed both rear sprockets and installed a new heavy duty chain.It has a new rear tire and new fork seals, new seal on gas cap and the pet cockis rebuilt. new seal in oil pump and new o rings on the feed lines. Pump works great.The timing is set with a dial indicator. I am a retired machinist and mechanicand take pride in my work. The gas tank is very clean inside. John Hopkins Ready for Comeback
Sat, 08 Feb 2014When last we heard from California racer John Hopkins, the former MotoGP racer announced he would return to British Superbike racing after being out of action for nearly two years due to various injuries. With the 2014 BSB season starting in April, Hopkins spoke with Suzuki’s official racing website to provide an update on his impending return with the Tyco Suzuki team. Hopkins says he has been practicing on a motocross track and is close to a deal with the Yoshimura Suzuki AMA team to test on a Gixxer.
