This remarkable shot of Eddie Lawson is taken by Rich Chenet. It was August 1980 and Lawson was undergoing a titanic scrap for the AMA title with Wes Cooley and Freddie Spencer here at Pocono Raceway in Philladelphia. The circuit is known as the 'Tricky Triangle' amongst the NASCAR drivers but the superbikes used a mix of infield and sections of the banked circuit.

Josh Hayes and Blake Young picked things up where they left off by trading wins at the 2012 season-opening AMA Superbike round at Daytona International Speedway. Reigning champion Hayes of Monster Energy Graves Yamaha took the first race handily, leading almost right from the start of the 15-lap race for the win. Yoshimura Suzuki’s Young, who finished second to Hayes in the 2011 AMA Superbike Championship, responded by taking the second race, but only by a slim 0.002-second margin.

James Stewart Extends Contract with Yoshimura Suzuki

Just days after celebrating his first win of the 2014 season, James Stewart has another reason to celebrate, signing a contract extension with Yoshimura Suzuki to race in AMA Supercross and Motocross through 2015. “Working with James has been a tremendously gratifying experience,” says Mike Webb, Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing team manager. “We’ve really begun gelling as a team and I feel like we’re just now approaching our true potential.
