I am relisting my Hayabusa. The winner of the auction turned out to be a scam and the other people that contacted me flaked out.
The bike is in good shape. I have owned it for a bit over 5 years and maybe put 5,000 miles on it in that time. I have never experienced any mechanical issues, the bike only suffers from some cosmetic problems. The main ones are pictured. Those happened before I owned the bike, I have done my best to keep it in good shape. Another cosmetic problem is that the front brake lever's tip has been broken off. It's just the end where it curves into a ball. It is still 100% functional and never caused any issues. I am only selling the bike because I am attempting to move out of state and I am not capable of transporting it, and I won't have a place to store it. Included with the sale is the backseat bubble cover thing. I do not know the actual name of it. Also included is a spare battery. I will answer any questions to the best of my abilities. Nissin ABS Modulator Recall Affects Honda CTX700, Suzuki Hayabusa, Kawasaki Ninja 250R and Possibly More
Wed, 17 Jul 2013Last week, we wrote about a recall in Canada for the ABS system on the 2014 Honda CTX700N and the CTX700T (known everywhere else as simply the CTX700), affecting 13 units north of the border. We can now confirm that the recall also affects U.S. models as well as models from other manufacturers using the same components from Nissin.
US Motorcycle Thefts Down 6% in 2011
Tue, 09 Oct 2012Americans reported 46,667 motorcycle thefts in 2011, a 6% decrease from 49,791 stolen motorcycles in 2010, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Despite the drop in reported thefts, the non-profit organization representing nearly 1100 property and casualty insurance companies says the theft rate still averages out to one motorcycle stolen every 11 minutes in the U.S. The numbers were published in the NICB’s 2011 ForeCAST Report which examined theft reports as well as recoveries.
Suzuki Recalls 2012 V-Strom 650 and Burgman Scooters
Fri, 10 Feb 2012Suzuki issued a recall campaign for its 2012 V-Strom 650 and Burgman scooters due to a defect in the brake light activation switches. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, rear brake lights may not activate when the rider squeezes the brake levers of the affected models. As a result, other road users behind the affected unit may not realize it is slowing down, increasing the risk of a crash.
