Land Speed Record Holder Bill Warner Dies Chasing 300 MPH Record

Land speed motorcycle racer Bill Warner succumbed to injuries suffered in a 285 mph crash at Loring Air Force Base in Maine. The 44-year-old from Wimauma, Fla., reportedly lost control of his modified turbocharged Suzuki Hayabusa while attempting to reach a speed of 300 mph. Warner reportedly began veering to his right during one high-speed run on the base’s runway after clocking 285 mph.

Suzuki Reports Q2 2012-2013 Results

Suzuki made headlines earlier this week when its American subsidiary filed for Chapter 11 and announced it is quitting the automobile business to focus on motorcycles and its marine operations. American Suzuki‘s car business has been struggling for a while and it remains to be seen how these developments will affect its motorcycle business. 2015 Suzuki GW250F Revealed for China

Suzuki’s Chinese partner Haojue has revealed a new fully-faired variant on the GW250. Revealed in Shanghai, the new GW250F follows the original naked GW250 (known in some markets as the Inazuma) and the semi-faired GW250S offered in Asia and Europe. The GW250S is powered by the same liquid-cooled 248cc Twin equipped on its siblings, claiming 24.1 hp at 8500 rpm and 16.2 ft-lb.
