Suzuki DR description

Bike has been maintained well, oil changes every 6 months with filter. Air filter always cleaned at oil changes and valves checked, the exhaust valves have been adjusted twice. Needed no adjustment last time. No real damage, front fender is scratched, minor boot marks and such. I traveled on this bike, miles are mostly from camping trips across the south east. Did a 1400 mile trip last month, I trust it. Never had any issues with it.

List of extras:

Protaper CR High Bends
Moose Hand Guards with Procycle bar end spacers and 1” risers.
699 Grips in Black
Heated grip elements
Safari translucent/natural 30L Fuel Tank with twin fuel filters
Corbin +1" saddle
Procycle TM-40 Carb with opened up air box. 150/22.5 jetting.
Kientech mid pipe with a GSXR TI muffler. Head pipe is stock.
Twin-Air Filter and the stock one.
Ebay rear BBQ rack
I have two 1520 and one 1550 Pelican cases for hard luggage.
MS side racks with quick brackets on the 1520’s. They come off quickly via 2 allen bolts.
Emgo Top Box can be thrown in.
Currently running stock gearing with a 520 chain in good shape.
Dual Star Skid Plate
Moose HD shift lever
Magnetic oil drain plug
Center Stand from Twisted Throttle.
.51/8.3 heavy springs.
The stock headlight has a 35 watt HID kit in it.
Side stand switch disabled
Battery Tender Lead installed on left side
Tires currently are Shinko 705, front is like new, I have a couple 705's in the garage, so it will have a new rear.
The Deka AGM battery is about a year old.
Bearings are good, I replaced the cush bearing early for a sealed one.

No oil burn, runs strong, NSU screws have been secured with thread locker. It has been used mostly as a camping mule and I explored forestry roads with it. I just put on a new JT 15t counter sprocket, the rear sprocket still looks new. I ride it occasionally, so the miles will change some. Currently it has about 40 miles on the oil, fresh rear brake pads, front pads are 50% or better. I just flushed the front brake fluid.

MotoGP to Re-Visit Rookie Rule

Tue, 19 Jun 2012

MotoGP organizers are re-opening discussion for the series’ rookie rule which prevents new riders from entering the series with factory teams. Introduced following the 2009 MotoGP season, the rule was designed to give satellite teams the chance to field young up-and-coming talents they otherwise wouldn’t have been able to sign. The theory was the rule would protect the satellite teams and spread out the talent pool.
