My shop sold 18 EHs during the mid and late 2000's. This one was "The Hot Rod", much quicker and faster than any I had owned. It was my personal bike from 2007 through late 2010, at which time I sold it to a local customer.
Our shop serviced the bike for him
all these past years, and the bike has proved to be very reliable.
We replaced the stator and oxygen sensor in 2012.
We replaced the wheel bearings in 2013.

We installed a new belt & pulley in 2014.

We installed new rubber engine mounts in 2015.

I acquired the bike this spring with the plans of riding it often.
W
e replaced the stock ECU with a new updated ECU by Atlantic EH.

I planned on
keeping the bike for its collector value.

But even though the bike's value will do nothing but appreciate and EH remains a great investment, I can't pull myself away from my Ducatis long enough to ride it.  And by golly, the bike deserves to be ridden.

Thus the sale.

You probably already know something about the Excelsior-Henderson Super X Models.

You probably already know that less than 1,952 Excelsior-Henderson Super X Models are still in existence.

Here are some things you might not know:

The first 300 bikes were not made with a "fuel injector collar". It is imperative that this upgrade be done. It is interesting to note that the first 300 bikes were actually VIN #000301 to #000600. Minnesota Super X suggests that ALL bikes receive this upgrade. MY BIKE HAS THIS UPGRADE.
There is an imperative upgrade concerning the "throttle body bracket". MY BIKE HAS THIS UPGRADE.

There was a factory warranty bulletin on clutch slave seal leakage. MY BIKE HAS THIS UPGRADE.

There is a recommendation to adjust the drive belt so it tracks in the center of the sprockets (drive pulleys)......This bike has an upgraded drive sprocket (drive pulley) that prevents wander......my belt always tracks in the center.

The Super X boasts innovative styling, strong anti-dive brakes, flawless fuel injection, impeccable comfort, and incomparable handling.

You’ll experience stump-pulling torque, shifting into fifth gear at 100 MPH.

The 1386cc V-Twin engine, with twin cams in each 4-valve head, delivers an impressive 70 ft. lb. of torque to the rear-wheel.

The distinctive “leading-link” front-end delivers a smooth ride and true anti-dive braking.

The front brake consists of a huge 11.5” rotor gripped by a four-piston caliper, producing incredible stopping power.

This unique front-end allows the Super X to handle, brake, and suck up potholes better than any Big Twin built in the 90's.

Here is an additional list of upgrades that were performed to my bike in 2007:

(1) The air cleaner and intake system was replaced with a billet aluminum bracket.

(2) We installed a washable, reusable, high-flow, high-performance K & N Air Filter.

(3) The gearbox metering jet” was replaced with an updated stainless steel metering jet.

(This was necessary because the gearbox is lubricated by a constant flow of cooled oil. The original brass metering jet” proved defective, and the gearbox internals became damaged by lack

of lubrication and excessive heat)

(4) Redesigned and improved gearbox bushings were installed.

(5) A redesigned and improved shifter detent spring was installed.

(6) A steel race for the left rear wheel bearing was installed to prevent the rear wheel bearings from turning in the aluminum hub.

(7) A double-wide race carrying two wheel bearings was installed on the drive-side of the hub (right-hand side).

(8) Heavy-duty ground straps were installed.

(9) The starter solenoid was upgraded.

(10) The oil return pipe was re-positioned.

(11) Taking no chances, we overhauled the oil pump.

(12) We improved the battery box.

(13) We improved the front brake light switch.

(14) We upgraded the clutch slave seals.
