Other Other description

This is a custom built vw trike that was re-built this year and completed about three months ago. when i got it was a project someone started but didnt finish. I was told the motor is a dual port 1835 but i have no proof of that. however it does have some non oem parts in it and you can hear that its not a stock cam, so i'd say its definitely been built and probably is an 1835 as i was told. The motor also has a c.b. performance super coil, new points & condenser, new solex carburetor, aluminum pulleys, bolt on aluminum valve covers, new fuel pump, and dual exhaust.
The trike was stripped down to just the frame and that was painted gloss black. The tank and fenders are painted a true candy apple red. ( metallic gold base, 4 coats of red candy, and three coats of high solid urethane clear coat ) I do have a front fender that is finished and matches the bike but i liked the looks of it better with it off.
The transmission is a vw type 1 swing axle 4 spd with reverse. The shifter was mounted below where your left leg would be , in a suicide shift style. And once you learn the gears it shifts very well for an older vw transmission ( meaning it never did nor never will shift like a 2015 camaro ).
The trike was converted to dual disk brakes ( no front brake ) and has braided s.s. brake lines. It also has a hydraulic clutch. The control set up is; clutch, left foot. brake, right foot, throttle rt hand.
Other misc things would include, polished aluminum floor with cargo tie downs in the center section, 600 watt blue tooth / aux stereo that will play directly from you phone or ipod or whatever else they have out now.. Also has "always on" head light and tail lights, with brake lights but no turn signals. turns are not required in my state but check your local laws. Under the locking harley cap is a keyed ignition switch, so you can turn it on accessory to listen to some music and lock up the top if you want to walk away from it. It also has a chrome waterproof push button ignition switch, and idiot lights for the oil pressure and alternator. The battery is a new, sealed AGM ( absorbed glass mat ) battery, similar to an optima or a marine battery. And yes they are expensive at almost $200. The rear wheels are chrome 20's and the front is a 21" spoke with a brand new Michelin tire. It is titled as a 1984 goldwing and the title is clear.
I honestly cant think of anything that is wrong with it or anything it needs. I'm sure like most things, whoever buys it would probably want to customize it some to their liking but thats all i can think of. Also, Ebay make you put something in the mileage category, i have no idea what the mileage is..
