I am selling my two Gilera show pieces, the Gilera 125cc in this auction and a Gilera 500cc San Remo replica in my other auction.

This auction is for the Gilera 125cc only, which will make an excellent showpiece for your collection or for display in your shop or office. This replica looks like a new bike off the showroom. The bike was restored and customized by Kent Riches of Bonneville Speed fame. The bike is highly detailed with all parts restored to a high quality finish. It represents a replica of the Gilera racers with the dustbin fairings of the late 50’s. I had the bike on display only, a great conversation piece which gains immediate attention.

Bought it in 2008 directly from Kent as a showpiece for display. The bike has never seen any fuel, as I never intended to run it. The engine turns over when gears are engaged and the rear wheel is turned (no kickstarter). I can not make an assessment of the mechanical condition of the engine internals, but it too was fully restored. The bike is sold as a display model, if you want to run it, you will have to make all the necessary adjustments before trying to start and run it. No instruments, mileage is unknown.

The bike is most likely based on a 1968/69 Gilera 124 5V (5 speed, single cylinder, carb is UB22BS) as sold by Sears in the USA. The engine number is 124*6033 EN, dating and identifing the model is my educated guess based on the Gilera books. The bodywork is molded plastic / fiberglass and manufactured by Airtech ( airtech-streamlining.com ).

The bike is sold on a Bill of Sale, there is no title or registration.
