1969 Other Makes Enduro on 2040-motos

 High dollar, complete and correct restoration done approx. 6 yrs. ago by Sachs collector and enthusiast Randy Nelson of Concord, CA. Full top / bottom / transmission rebuild by famous Penton vintage motor guru Doug Wilford of Ohio (google Doug Wilford / Penton). Only 16 road miles since rebuild (subject to slight change as it’s ridden occasionally). 

 I bought the bike 2 years ago to add to my collection and it came from Concord to Spokane, Washington's dry climate where it's on display in my heated and secure man-cave / garage. Bike is started, warmed up and run through the gears every other month or so. Everything works - horn, headlight, speedometer; shifts gears just like a Sachs should shift and is a joy to ride or just look at. 

Superb example of a rare and unique piece of German engineering from 1969. For collectors, the Enduro is more sought-after than the other two Sachs models of 1969 (MX and Cross-country) due to its scarcity and the fact that it’s street legal. Clear title in hand; registration is expired. 

 $500 deposit required via PayPal within 48 hours of auction close, balance paid in full within 10 days. Buyer is responsible for pickup. I can store for a short time and will help coordinate loading by your transporter. 

 What's not right? 

1. There is some weather checking on the rear tire (but still holds air and can be ridden safely); 

2. The rear wheel does not run quite true; it's perfectly round, but spokes need adjustment; 

3. The L/H engine case has slight hangar-rash (a scratch; see pic). 

 

Excepting these three minor items, the bike is near-perfect.
