Rare 1956 Motobecane mobylette AV78 moped. BIKE HAS NO TITLE. YOUTUBE VIDEO under 1956 Motobecane Mobylette AV78 start up. First i just purchased the bike and amazingly when I got home and added gas and it started right up but needs to be gone through not road ready yet and needs adjustment. The tag from Motobecane on engine says this bike was manufactured in March of 1956 which makes this a very early model was sold at Montgomery Wards in US and not many were shipped and sold at that time. Production for bike was from 1956 to 1960 with variations on trim and other specs. Bike has original paint but at some point someone added the pin striping which looks awesome and vintage and on sides has the name Vic so cool. This bike has early characteristics and is mostly complete and original 95% I would say missing side covers and air filter and going to need new parts like cables. Also the rear large pulley needs some parts. Has uncommon luggage rack. Front fender has rusted through on very bottom, This is a very rare model and not common in the US a great candidate for restoration or just get street ready and ride. BIKE HAS NO TITLE AND IS SOLD AS-IS IN NEED TO RESTORE CONDITION. Please contact for shipping quote. This is a great moped that has so much character and gorgeous 50s curves with the fenders and tank I could through a few hundred into it and ride in all its vintage glory if it does not sell this week will go into the shop for restoration.
