Norton International description

This is a Norton International Period Special 500cc built with no expense spared.  The international model was basically a detuned version of the famous Manx suitable for road use.  Although titled as a 1957 the 500cc long stroke SOHC engine (or at least the crankcases) are pre war, believed 1937.
Items of note are alloy fuel and central oil tanks, Dunlop alloy rims, added front brake air scoop, vintage race tires(Avons), working chronometrics, Manx tank, seat, alloy guards and exhaust with flattened megaphone (has removable baffle), alloy levers, BTH racing magneto, all fasteners top quality and either plated or stainless, Isle of Man custom steering damper knob, etc, etc.
Bike is wired for lights and has battery box under seat hump.  Magdyno set up may also be available if required.   Chromed fully enclosed primary chain case included as an option to open Manx style.
Bike runs well, clutch and transmission work as they should.  Engine leaks some... (Surprise?)
Bike to be sold with bill of sale (Georgia is a no title state for older vehicles), but Police inspection certificate will also be included.
The bike has been on display (living room) so no corrosion or damp.
*there is a slight chip in the paint on the pinstripe, I have tried to show it in the pictures but it is barely visible.

Bonneville from a parallel universe

Fri, 20 Sep 2013

This is the Triumph Speed Twin Concept, a bike commissioned by Triumph to show what the Bonneville might have evolved into, in a parallel universe. I love the concept. Designed by Roy Norton and Tom Kasher who were on a placement at a design studio, I get the impression the pair are into motorcycle and not just designers.
