Moto Guzzi V10 Centauro description

Rare 1997 Moto Guzzi V10 Centauro Sport. This bike is well sorted, in excellent condition and runs great. The engine is dialed in with a cross over pipe (eliminates the Cat), computer chip and Power Commander. This setup solves the lean running condition the stock US bikes were prone to, and ads several horsepower (with total output around 95-97 hp at the rear wheel). The bike is quite rare and currently enjoys a bit of a ‘cult classic’ status. It is a true collectable - there were only 150 or so sent to the U.S. (even fewer exist in red, with the quarter and lower fairing). The previous owner collected interesting carbon fiber tidbits that trim the bike out well. The Borla pipes are very rare as well, and compliment the unique lines of the bike (in addition to sounding amazing!). Borla quit making pipes for bikes some time ago. The bike has 23k miles on it and was recently fitted with a new lithium-ion battery. Also included at this price are a few spares and the set of original Termignoni pipes (see last 2 photos of the bike with the Termignoni pipes installed).

Expected to sell for approximately $96,000 to $112,000, the Japanese works Grand Prix racer is one of only two machines built by the factory for the French Kawasaki importer SIDEMM for use in the 500cc World Championship. The bikes were ridden during the 1974 season by the French endurance racing specialist Christian Léon and French-Canadian Formula 750 star Yvon Duhamel.

Leaked Photo Shows 2013 Moto Guzzi California 1400 in Touring Trim

Fri, 28 Sep 2012

Back in March, Piaggio Vice President of design Miguel Galluzzi revealed the Italian firm would release several versions of the new Moto Guzzi California 1400 including a full touring version. We’ve seen photographs of the new California in prototype form from Piaggio‘s North American dealer meeting, but we’ve now come across a picture of what looks like the final production version in full touring trim. The picture,  appears to have been leaked from an official catalog photoshoot, shows the new Moto Guzzi California 1400 with hard bags, engine bars, extra lighting and windscreen.

Trying to distort the concept of cafe racer as little as possible, Radical Guzzi specialists in their latest work pursued two goals: speed and style. The concept was developed by former BMW designer Sylvain Berneron. The 1200cc twin Moto Guzzi Griso has been pumped up to almost a liter and a half, equipped with a 1400 California cylinder-piston group.
