Moto Guzzi Eldorado description

1973 Moto Guzzi Eldorado

Here is a real nice Moto Guzzi Eldorado 850 civilian. This bike is a real strong runner and rides just as well. I just finished installing a brand new complete clutch kit: deep spline plates, intermediate plate, springs, and deep spline hub (deep spline is much more durable than the original clutch that lasted for 42K miles), New Cardin joint on the drive shaft, new swing arm boot, and full tune up including carb rebuild, synch, valve adjustment, all fluids changed (motor, tranny, rear drive) etc. Bike was completely gone though, every nut and bolt checked, she really does ride like a dream now, even has new tires and battery.

Of course paint isn’t original, there is a dent (character flaw) in the tank on the driver side, and the tach doesn’t work, but everything else about this bike is top notch, probably the nicest eldo ive ever ridden. Has the rare aftermarket surf board foot boards as well. 42,800 miles which is young for a guzzi.

I just dont have time for the bike with a couple other bikes, so she must move on to someone who has the time to stretch her legs.

Piaggio Announces 2011-2014 Business Plan – More Hybrids and Electric Models In the Pipeline

Wed, 14 Dec 2011

The Piaggio Group revealed its business plans for the next three years with a focus on developing fuel efficient engines and introducing new electric motors and hybrid powertrains. Beginning in 2012, Piaggio plans to introduce a new generation of engines with lower emissions and improved fuel economy. Examples include the new 350cc engine introduced in the Piaggio Beverly SportTouring and the fuel-injected 125cc four-stroke, three-valve engine equipped in the Vespa Quarantasei concept (which the company has apparently, and quietly, renamed as the much easier-to-pronounce Vespa 946).
