Moto Guzzi Ambassador description
Italian HOG barn find I bought a couple of years ago. I've replaced quite a few items. I left the rough patina as it reflects history. So it has some dings in the pipes, front fender, tank and surface rust. The new owner can finish her to
original glory if they'd like. Guzzi's were the preferred bike in the
early 70's for the CHP and LAPD.
It is a numbers matching bike. The bike always starts right up. It has the rare original LAPD metal saddlebags that were not offered as an option by Moto Guzzi. It has a combination of Honda tail/turn rear turn lights and Yankee Turnflex II signals in front. Clean title with new California tags good until July 2017. It gets a lot of looks as there isn't anything else on the road that looks like it. Too many other projects I need to finish so this has to go. Here's what I've done: New tires/tubes front and back. Less than 100 miles put on them. New rear brakes, rear wheel gasket and seal. Speedometer cable Voltage regulator Points, wires and condenser, starter brushes, relays Oversize battery- Mazda Tank acid washed and POR15 coated inside Carbs rebuilt, new petcocks , air filter and hoses Aftermarket turn switch Reupholstered seat. New locks on side boxes. Generator belt What it needs: Clutch cable. Current cable works but treaded area is broken Oil leak. What 45 year old bike doesn't. Tach not working. Video
Bike is sold as is, where is with no warranties implied or expressed. If you'd like to inspect the bike please email me. I'm located in Huntington Beach, CA. Buyer must arrange pick up. Cash preferred. Paypal OK. Local pick up only. Buyer to arrange all shipping if required. Keywords: Harley triumph norton honda chopper hog hd classic vintage cruiser street |

New Moto Guzzi Microwebsite a One-stop Portal for Guzzi Fans Old and New
Thu, 17 May 2012Guzzis aren’t for everyone, and Guzzisti are quite okay with that fact. While Moto Guzzi recognizes the dedication of Guzzi devotees, it also recognizes that it needs to grow the brand. Moto Guzzi USA, the North American importer of the Moto Guzzi brand, has announced a new “micro” site for Guzzis. The site, www.motoguzzioriginals.com, is part eye candy (actually, it’s very eye candy), part history, part marketing tool.
1954 AJS E95 May Fetch Upwards of $750K in August Pebble Beach Auction
Wed, 18 May 2011This uber rare 1954 AJS E95, aka The Porcupine, may become the most expensive motorcycle in the world. World-famous auction house, Bonhams, has recently announced that it will handle auctioning of an ultra-rare 1954 AJS E95 during the Pebble Beach Car Week held annually in August at the Quail Lodge Golf Club in Carmel, Calif. Bonhams estimates that due to the rarity of the E95 (only four were completed by British brand AJS) it may see a bid as high as $750,000.
