MV Agusta All description
Most of you know the history of MV Augusta, with their 37 world championships with the likes of Read, Surtees and Agostini, and this model in particular, conceived by the U.S. importer, Chris Garville, as a limited-edition (200 for the 1975 model year) sport bike for the American market based on the existing 750 Sport; that bike became known as the 750S America. First of only two owners was the importer, Garville Corporation, where it was used in displays, shows and magazine tests: as featured in Cycle, Big Bike and Motor Cycle World to name a few. Ownership was transferred to Peter Garville (brother of importer Chris) in 1984 where it stayed in his possession until 1990. As second owner, I acquired the bike by way of famed restorer Perry Bushong (one of the first MV Augusta dealers in the US). Perry and I have had a life long friendship and working relationship and he knew that this bike was for me. When I heard the sound of the 4 into 4 exhaust I was hooked and that is when it became mine. In 1994 I had the opportunity to meet John Surtees at Daytona and he was gracious enough to autograph the fuel tank. After that the bike was ridden sporadically, mostly at bike events, rallys and shows until 2014 when I went back to Perry to ask him to do the restoration, which was completed in the Fall of 2016. We added the racing exhaust built by Dave Kay, something I had always wanted to do as it looks fantastic and sounds like no other motorcycle on the road! I have had twenty six years of stewardship of this amazing motorcycle and now its time to let someone else have their turn. Included with the bike is a large collection of spare parts, brochures, magazine articles and factory correspondence to support its provenance. I ask for a non refundable deposit of $1000 at the end of the auction. As for shipping, I have several shippers I can recommend if needed. Also note that the spare parts are very heavy and will likely need to be placed on a pallet so take that into consideration when calculating shipping costs. Thu, 16 Jan 2014The first image of the 2014 MV Agusta Brutale 800 Dragster have emerged online, offering a glimpse of what is expected to be MV’s mid-sized answer to the Ducati Diavel. The Dragster will be the latest model to use MV Agusta’s three-cylinder engine, following the Brutale 800, F3 800, Rivale and Turismo Veloce. We’ve known since last summer that the Brutale 800 Dragster was coming, thanks to its appearance in certification documents from the California Air Resources Board and the U.S.
2012 MV Agusta F3 675 Enters Production … Finally
Wed, 02 Nov 2011The long-anticipated three-cylinder MV Agusta F3 675 is now ready for production, almost exactly a year after its unveiling at the 2010 EICMA show. The F3 was initially supposed to begin production in September but now that November has started, MV Agusta’s new supersport is ready to go. The 2012 MV Agusta F3 675 comes equipped with a four-map ride-by-wire throttle control and eight-level traction control.
