To keep the engine’s performances to a high level, Kawasaki uses its first fully electronic throttle actuation system which enables the ECU to control the volume of both the fuel (via fuel injectors) and the air (via throttle valves) delivered to the engine. The engine is paired with a six speed transmission. The 6th gear is an overdrive gear, contributing to better fuel economy when cruising at motorway speeds. Another interesting feature offered by the Kawasaki VN1700 Voyager is its K-ACT ABS system which offers a strong stopping power regardless of the road conditions. Melissa Paris To Race FIM CEV Superstock 600 In 2014 Aboard Kawasaki ZX-6R
Wed, 15 Jan 2014With the recent turmoil in the AMA Pro Roadracing series lately, many teams and riders are looking at other options for the 2014 racing season. Among those is Melissa Paris, who recently announced she would be taking her talents to Spain next year to race in the highly competitive FIM CEV Superstock 600 class, aboard a Kawasaki ZX-6R prepared by Stratos Racing. The Spanish Roadracing championship will be run under the guidance of the FIM for the first time starting next year, which will have the side benefit of exposing Paris to more international teams and competition.

WSBK 2013: Laguna Seca Race Report
Mon, 30 Sep 2013Tom Sykes and Eugene Laverty each came away with a victory as the World Superbike Championship made its return to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. The first race featured two red flags, ironically caused by AMA Superbike regulars Danny Eslick and Roger Hayden, the two men with the most recent experience at the famed track. The second race was a much cleaner affair, with a dramatic finish, setting up the final two rounds of the championship.
