With Tom Sykes and his Kawasaki Ninja ZX–10R holding a comfortable lead in his title defense of the World Superbike Championship and Loris Baz standing in third place aboard his ZX–10R, you might expect that Kawasaki would have some important plans for celebrating 30 years of Ninjas during the 2014 SBK season. And you’d be right. Following much of the same format as its successful Bike Nite in the Daylight Show, Team Green has joined forces with Two Brothers Racing to bring Kawasaki Ninja Nights 2014 to Laguna Seca on July 12th from 6:00pm – 9:00pm.

While the company’s name might not be commonplace among performance oriented riders – yet – some pretty big names are using MWR filters even though the company doesn’t pay sponsorship dollars. Kawasaki Recalls Concours 14 for Rear Brake Problem A Previous Recall Failed to Fix

Kawasaki is issuing a recall for the Concours 14 for a rear brake pedal issue the company had previously tried to fix in 2008. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, road debris can get trapped between the brake pedal and a pedal guard, causing slight pressure on the rear brakes. The rear brake drag can cause the brakes to overheat, potentially leading to brake damage, a rear brake lockup or failure of the rear brakes.
