Kawasaki Other description

For sale is a vintage, AHRMA 1970 Kawasaki H1 500 Mach III. This bike was stored in a garage, covered up for 25 years. This bike is fairly complete, missing blinkers, counter-shaft cover, chain and front fender. The engine was fogged before storage and the inside of the gas tank was coated with oil. Bike was running before being put in storage. This bike would make a good start for a restoration or cafe project. There is a small crack in right side engine cover and distributor cover is damaged. Kick starter works properly. Transmission shifts through all the gears. Cylinders have good compression. Needs a battery. Bike is missing tachometer cable. Carburetors and throttle operate properly and snap back as they should. Seat cover has tears in it. Front and rear brakes operate properly. Tires hold air. The air filter assembly is missing and the left cylinder has a couple bent fins. Bike has a working key switch (w/ two keys) and has a clear title.

Thu, 30 Jul 2009

Motorcycle communities are a huge resource for any kind of project or help you might need.  It’s incredible the amount of stuff people post and the effort they put into it! arturo3rd on Kawiforums.com posted some great tips and photos on how to shave down your motorcycle seat for a more comfortable ride. Things you’ll need: flat screwdriver pliers sharp knife(steak) rough grit sand paper staple gun I’m unsure if all motorcycle seats are made of the same material so be wary before you start if your motorcycle isn’t a Kawasaki.

WSBK 2013: Assen Race Report

Mon, 29 Apr 2013

Tom Sykes earned his first win of the 2013 season and came a hair short of a double victory at the World Superbike Championship round at Assen in the Netherlands. Traditionally a fast starter and qualifier, Sykes started on the pole once again at Assen and had strong starts in both races. But unlike the first two rounds where he started strong before fading, the Kawasaki factory rider was able to remain at the front in both races at Assen and earn some valuable championship points.
